I tend to agree with D4H on this.

3 years ago, who would have believed that Tuttle, Big Mac, Vickers, Phillips, Kirkland, etc., none would even be 3rd team All SEC by media voters. WOW.

In my thinking, we have several who will make 1st or 2nd team All SEC this year.

No one. However, their play to date has dictated that none of them are worthy of being named to any of the preseason all-conference teams which, quite honestly, means little going forward. However, any or all of them can raise their level of play considerably this season and wind up on the post season all-conference teams which would obviously mean much more.

Tennesse has talent, that's not the question. Development has been the issue during Jones tenure.

The GT game should give us an idea of how the defense will perform this season. CBJ and Shoop have a significant amount of time to prepare against Tech's offense. If GT rushes for 250+ against UT's defense, it may be a long season for the fan base.

Welp. Here comes D4H's reverse Midas touch. I hate it for you guys.

Well for one thing, D4H is due to hit on one eventually, by the law of averages; so there is that. But in this case I do think we will end up toward the upper 1/3 rather than the bottom of defensive stats this year as long as our offense can be somewhat successful. If the defense is on the field 42 minutes a game or some such crazy number the D will tire. But I do think we have the real chance to do well this year on that side of the ball.

Hope our offensive HC doesn't spend too much time prepping our defense.

Not the whole defense. We'll probably have 5-6 guys make the 1st and 2nd team. If I had to guess, I would go with Darrin Kirkland Jr., Kendal Vickers, Justin Martin, Emmanuel Moseley, Daniel Bituli, and Nigel Warrior.

Didn't you very similar predictions last year? How'd that work out? Give it a rest dude, it's beyond old.

I'll buy some of this, but we've all seen how quickly depth vanishes when the injury bug hits.

Stop shooting down everything bc you don't like the guy. I see you argue for the sake of arguing on everything he posts. Either read it impartially or skip it.

Most of us "shoot down everything" he puts out because of the clown act that he puts out on a regular basis...while we're being impartial.

Realizing that they simply don't have the gift to see what you see, they will, of course, be making the call.

It's not who makes the preseason all SEC teams, it's who makes them after the season has ended that counts. Trent Thompson as a first teamer DL is a joke.
