Ukraine II: The Fight Against Russian Aggression

This is messed up.

It does seem that way...

I'm not against nationalism....but this is nothing but a hate-cultivating camp...

To be fair, I guarantee it goes on in E Ukraine and Russia too...

If Kazakhstan wants to, why not? Are you against self determination?

No, I' am not against self-determination. The Ukraine chose to move closer to Russia in the Fall of 2013 and we had a State Department color revolution at The Maidan in February 2014...

You're asking the wrong person about if they are for or against self-determination. Obviously, there are some outside of Ukraine that were against it.

Now let me ask you, are you against self-determination? The people of Crimea chose to overwhelmingly join Russia after the Ukraine debacle and we have people in the West that want to overturn that decision. Crimea has been peaceful and had no signs of insurgency from any citizens clamoring to rejoin The Ukraine. Why are their wishes ignored?

They just allowed Montenegro in a few weeks ago.

Montenegro also hasn't been involved in combat with Russian forces within the past decade either.

Unlikely, but why do you say never? The last 30 years have seen some unforeseeable stuff.

The only way I see the Western European countries even think about approving them for membership is if they agree to drop their (rightful) territorial claims to the now Russian occupied regions of their countries. That is something neither country should or would do.

Crimea was ceded to Ukraine by Khrushchev in the mid 1950s for whatever reason. Outside of that, Crimea has been Russian for the last 250+ years.

How long will the land remain disputed (one way or another)? Eventually it will be resolved.

DPR declares the creation of the state of Malorossiya..

We, the representatives of former Ukraine, declare the establishment of a new state, Malorossiya, which is a successor state to Ukraine. We agree that the new state’s name will be Malorossiya because the very name of Ukraine has discredited itself. The city of Donetsk becomes Malorossiya’s capital,” DPR Income Minister Alexander Timofeev said reading a constitution act on the formation of the new country.
