So nothing gets my blood pumping other than a TD like a huge hit or an INT. I did a little research over the last 8 years to see how our defense managed in the section and who the leading ball hawk were.

2016: Defense-11-Micah Ambernathy/Todd Kelly tied with 2 INTs.
2015: Defense-12-Toddy Kelly-3
2014: Defense-16-Justin Coleman-4
2013: Defense-14-Brian Randolph-4
2012: Defense-12-Byron Moore-5
2011: Defense-9 Austin Johnson-4
2010: Defense-18-Janzen Jackson/Prentiss Wagner-5
2009: Defense-10-Wes Brown/Chris Walker/Eric Berry-2
2008: Defense-17-Eric Berry-7

How many INT's will we get this season and who will lead in that category?

I'll go out and say 15 total with Todd Kelly-4, Nigel Warrior and Shaq Wiggins tied-3

I think Shaq Wiggins came here to ball.

I see him getting 5 or 6 int's.

Seeing the stats make me realize how much I miss those 5 stars in the backfield.

Not an order but I see TKjr, Warrior, Wiggins and Gaulden getting the bulk of our INT's this season.

I remember when the original staff came over from Cincinnati. We thought, we were going to have all these turnovers because they led over there. What happened

Level of competition if you ask me.

We just need to continue to recruit talented players. We need elite DB's. I don't understand why we've been lacking there the last couple of years.

Not saying we don't have good DB's. We just need more to level out the quality of WR's we play week in and out.

Wes Brown tied Eric Berry for the team lead in interceptions in 2009. That's good stuff. And I remember he took it to the house against Vandy

17 and Surprise: Justin Martin with 6, Nigel with 4, Moseley with 2, TK with 2, Shaq 1, Abernathy 1 and Evan Berry with 1. That assumes that the DL and LBs don't get any picks which is not realistic.

Ill be surprised if anyone gets more than 3. We dont exactly have ball hawks with great hands in the secondary - TK Jr is our best hope back there. Last year I swear Foreman had his hands on about 5 or 6, but only cam down with 1 INT for the year. Hopefully with Warren coaching the DBs this year we see an improvement with the DBs. Too many major mistakes from the secondary last season.
