I have been responsible for, along with one of our facilities managers, signing off on the final punch of 4 new restaurant builds. 3 of them went to court over disagreements between my company and the GC over scope of work contracted out and actual work performed. The same GC built all four restaurants. The court helped us mediate it out. Very common in commercial building.
I have a friend that is opening a restaurant. real salt-of-the-earth, middle-middle class, nicest guy you'll ever meet. Totally hosed by the construction company he's had working on the opening. They haven't done the work, done obvious sub-par work that they have done. Now they're trying to bully him into paying anyway. Threatening liens.
I've never been the biggest Trump fan, and I'm less one every day that he idiot-tweets. But the all-out jack-rabbit craziness from our resident leftists just needs to stop.
