I made that comparison in the sense that if he goes 6-6 the handwriting is on the wall that he's not the guy who's going to get it done here. After Dooley lost to Kentucky most people knew then that the chances of him winning big were slim to none. If Jones goes 6-6 with this roster and coaching staff, I think most of the fanbase will come to that same conclusion with him.

I understand what you are saying, but I think it's the comparison to Dooley's last debacle. No matter how Tennessee would get to 6-6, the feeling in the program wouldn't be as hopeless as it was after Dooley. It would prob be time for a change, but the feeling wouldn't be the same as it was after 2012.

Bottom line is that regardless of this year's results there is not a coach out there we could get that would not set us back...again. If you know one out there that we would pay that could keep this great class together and put together a staff this good, im all ears. Even after a 6-6 or 7-5 year, CBJ is our best option moving forward.

This all day. The reason that it would take a worse year than most expect, to get rid of Jones, is because it's VERY unlikely that a sure fire upgrade comes walking through that Orange and White door. Jones will have UT competing at the top of the division for the duration of his stay here, and as long as Saban continues on his current tear at Bama that is all anybody else in the conference could ask for. And who knows, maybe we could sneak up on them one year. If anybody is going to do it I would pick Tennessee, over any other SEC team, because of how well they have fared against Bama historically. Butch already put one scare into the red elephants the year before last.

If a lawsuit comes into play, which is still a possibility, then I think we all know how that will effect recruiting. One quote that made me laugh when reading the article though was this though:

He denied any wrongdoing, in part because he said he was so high on marijuana that he had "no interest in having sex with anyone."

What an alibi that is 😂

And this offseason was involved in another marijuana situation where a pimp was in the car. Of course, no discipline for Callaway because Michigan is looming.

Nothing serious will come of it. IF PSU can bounce back after all the stuff they did, UF will be fine.

Y'all know UT is the only school that gets hammered for the small stuff and dragged through the media mud for months on end.

You have no idea who would be available or who our new AD would be willing to hire. That comment is so far out in outer space, it comes from Uranus.

Name me a few then that you are pretty sure as you say would take us "five steps further."

Just give me some possibilities?

Why bother? My premise is that I'd be willing to roll the dice, not that I have the pertinent information or influence to make a decision on a replacement.

I could name someone theoretically perfect anyway, and your response would be "Oh he'd never come here."
