Why isn't Alabama an option?

Two reasons:

1. If it were an option, it would be the overwhelming pick. They're the only team all season that we'll be double-digit underdogs to; a lot of people expect us to lose to Bama under Saban to an extent they don't expect even of our other big rivals. So leaving it in as an option would be kinda boring.

2. To up the fun meter. It's more fun imagining an 11-1 season with a win over Bama. And this thread is purely for fun. So why not?

Ridiculous. Alabama is the answer. We should beat LSU at home over Alabama away. Plus that scenario gives us a possible rematch. Bama vs Tennessew for SEC title would be a huge draw and I think if we stay healthy and played that we'll all year, we would go in there with a lot of confidence. I think they will be more bearable this year without Kiffin.

No. It's Vanderbilt. No matter how well we do, we still lost to those maggots, and listen to their coach claim this is their state in Neyland Stadium. And you need to translate the juvenile names your ignorant fantasy gives to rival coaches. If you are going to make a point, don't make it obvious how truly immature you are.

At least you can spell reason. Too bad you can't understand it.

Awe, did somebody have a bad day?! TROLL!

2 so far voted for VANDY; here is why I did; this would mean that VANDY finishes 2nd in the east behind us, with one east loss (us), They are ranked in the top 25, Mushbreath, yellarteeth and vacuumhead, get fired, furthering our quest to have a run like BAMA. Also, by beating BAMA and LSU, we would probably play AU in the SECCG, win and then there is NO WAY THEY CAN LEAVE US OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS. good enough reasons????

I'm confused. You said you voted Vandy. Then you wrote Vandy has 2 losses with us being one of them. I just don't understand, You're really confusing my senility. Please explain.

Not that VANDY only has 2 losses but the are 2nd behind us in the east. I really think GA and FL could loose 2 outta 3 against, KY, VANDY, and USCjr. The east would look like this: VOLS, VANDY, MIZZO, KY, USCjr, GA, FL!!!!!!

At first I wanted to say LSU, but after thinking about it i choose Georgia Tech. The earlier your lost comes the better it is viewed for when trying to get in the playoff. Georgia Tech would be viewed as a good enough team to not be a embarrassment, they are a unique team so you could just say it was a fluke, and then you could say the team has improved and wasn't the same team that lost the game 3 months prior.

Wow great question and a tough one to answer. Here's my reasoning.

If you beat all the big dogs and take care of your business everyone will forgive you for taking a day off and dropping an easy game with your eyes to the next big game. KY is due a good year. I'm going KY. I think you will be forgiven for dropping KY in a season where they are expected to look good, and you play them at thier house.

Don't agree. Fans will say 'yeah, but you lost to KY." Dropping a game to a team you should beat, is never good. However, losing to a team that is thought to be able to beat you is like, "o well, can't win'em all".

I'd say GT...any loss is a bummer, but an early OOC loss to a Power-5 team wouldn't sting as bad as say, Vandy or USCe. It would be a wake-up call to knock the proverbial cobwebs off and get down to business without affecting our chances of getting to Atlanta later in the year.

I don't give a damn if we lose to Vandy if we went 11-1 we would still make the playoffs, put it this way i would rather loose to Vandy than Bama gators Dawgs or LSU.:clapping:

Kentucky has a decent football team this year on paper right now Kentucky would beat us glad we got them later in the season when we play them there depth will be thin and like always we should kick there azz, they will have to wait till basketball season to give us a azz kicking:clapping:

It's NEVER ok to lose to peabody! Would hate starting the season with a loss but GT would hurt the least I think.
Let's just go 12-0 & be done with it 😬

GA Tech due to breaking in starters.

Plus it isn't a conference game. Boom!

We currently have losing streaks to 9 of the 13 other SEC teams...all but Fl, GA, KY, & Mizzou! This would break at least 4 losing streaks and maybe even a 5th in the SECCG.
