Ukraine II: The Fight Against Russian Aggression

His reluctance to commit to more sanctions on Russia. His obsession with the whole "pay your fair share" and not knowing why 1) European nations don't put as much into their militaries (Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe) and why Germany is treaty bound to not have a military larger thaN 378,000 (Treaty on the Final Settlement with Respect to Germany) His inability to recognize and commit to Article V, something every President since 1949 has done.
Everything you listed are legitimate gripes and actions by Trump.

ok, let me clarify, has Trump done anything to distance us from Europe in regards to military support, individual alliances or NATO, that would lend itself to supporting merkels statements?

Merkel might be saying that primarily for domestic consumption.

On the other hand, she has been in meetings with him twice and we don't know what was said in them.

I have no doubt he said something incredibly stupid. But at this point I have not actually seen any real movement on it.

to carlos. Obama also started walking back the sanctions on Russia, no complaints there. And what actual relationship? Or is it that he hasn't just jumped in and made them enemy number 1? and does Article 5 bear repeating? I understand that he is unusual as for the politician side, and generally doesn't know anything that doesn't start with a T and end with rump, but I still see a big difference from not talking about something and being against it.

Also, we have a fragile economy that is overdue for another recession, and Europe is in financial trouble everywhere...who thinks restarting the cold war and escalating problkems between us and Russia is a good idea? Unless they pull some more crap like invading their neighbors and leave us no choice, we need to work with them as much as possible to try and keep peace in the world and battle terrorism. I am all for a strong military, but war is very very expensive and we just don't have the money to waste. Let Russia be Russia, as long as they are kept on a leash we n need to leave them the help alone.

Obama never walked back sanctions on Russia. In fact he could have taken sanctions on Russia a step farther. And about Trumps relationship with Russia. Trump has been infatuated with Russia since the 1980s. And Yes article does bear repeating since Trump has said multiple times that the U.S. would not abide by its treaty obligation and that NATO is " obsolete"

he said that during the election, and has since walked back those comments.

2. NATO is "no longer obsolete"

"The secretary general and I had a productive discussion about what more NATO can do in the fight against terrorism," Trump said April 12 at a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. "I complained about that a long time ago and they made a change, and now they do fight terrorism."

now he lies out of both ends about it, but he does change his stance. It was even a topic of discussion on this board about all of his flip flops.

The Putin regime's days are numbered. One because the young Russian population is starting to wake up and two when he goes I don't see a successor that has the chomps to maintain control.

Alexei Navalny works for George Soros....good job comrades..

lol everyone must work for Soros according to you. I wonder how I could get a cushy job from him? Maybe you could direct me? Or maybe, just maybe, he truly cares about the future of Russia and is willing to put everything, including his life, on the line?

No wonder Navalny is so popular with the young Russians...

This is about the people that run America.

Yes and Trump has not acknowledged that Russia interfered in our electon to the best of my knowledge. If you want to start another thread titled" Ukraine III: The Fight Against American Aggression" and rehash 3 years ago feel free to do so.

(AP) - Senate overwhelmingly approves new package of sanctions to punish Russia for meddling in 2016 election.
