Because the KSA has disrupted any chance of a caliphate being formed for a long time now. The kingdom isn't a single entity, and much like us, the leadership doesnt necessarilly have much to do with the people there. And that means the good, and bad folks.

If Obama had done this deal with the Saudis, the shrieking howls from the usual alt right suspects on the board would have been deafening.

This is the biggest reason I was against Hillary. Arming the nation that sponsors ISIS. Now Trump is in on it. Officially no different than Hillary. Douche.

Whatever they're sent won't be as good as whatever we have. Wife's cousin works at Lockheed and he said when they were sending Israel f-16s they either yanked the avionics and other sensitive stuff out of the planes or installed less capable gear. The Israelis could either install their own stuff or shop around.
