He is, but Trump is too, and his trashiness ended up making him win. Same thing could happen with Ball. He's got so much free pub, that with a few smart decisions like dropping the price and some luck like Ball not spraining his ankle, he could end up making 10 million over a few years.

Lol

Nope. He's a surefire NBA star. Reminds me of Penny Hardaway with better passing skills.

The kid is can't miss. Lakers will rise back to prominence with him leading them.

Lakers need a miracle. They need way more than Lonzo Ball. Get the F outta here. I'm an NBA junkie and every time watched them play this yr they were giving up about 130 pts a night. They have no leader.

Edit got Lonzo and Lavar mixed up. Lonzo is legit, although I don't think he'll be a superstar if he goes about things like his dad does.

LaVar is an idiot. The idea is right, but his execution is awful. Moreover, he just seems like a terrible and disrespectful person. I read an article on CBS earlier where he essentially threatened a woman when asking him why he wouldn't consider marketing the shoes to women. Just one example of many.

I love LaVar Ball. He knows what he's doing. He's already made Lonzo into a household name. Once that kid starts to ball out in the NBA that shoe and brand will blow up.

This might be revolutionary.

His son is good enough in his own right, his dad is nothing but a blowhard. It's his sons show he needs to get out of the limelight, he is one of them living through his kids because he wasn't good enough and now wants all the credit. Pure ego on his part, he hasn't helped his sons out one bit.

Lonzo might be a great pro player. Lynx is right, though --- the idea is good but the execution is a f'ing joke. And then he makes a buffoon of himself by saying he could beat Jordan one-on-one. Get the F out of here with that crap.

Again, if he went about this the right way, it could be revolutionary. As it is, he cost his son several million dollars. I hope Lonzo wises up and dumps his old man at some point.

Not sure how you can say LaVar is doing things wrong. All everyone is talking about is him or Lonzo. The hype he has created for his sons is unreal.

If the hype doesn't pan out in the league then he doesn't take majority of the hit. His sons do for sure. They are skilled ball players but they are definitely not a KD, LBJ, Wall or Westbrook type of athletes that you know will be special when they hit the league.

He's definitely testing out the saying about all publicity being good publicity. With the way our last round of elections worked out, who can blame him? lol

Just yesterday I got an ESPN alert about Lavar saying that Lonzo will only work out for the Lakers and that their playoff drought ends as soon as Lonzo gets there. What a dumb thing to say and an insult to all other NBA teams. I hope the Lakers take Fox from UK and let Lonzo fall to a bottom dweller small market team.

If you're a GM and Lonzo falls to you because the only team him and his dad wanted to be on passes on them, do you draft him knowing he will just want to leave for the Lakers in free agency first chance he gets? I wouldn't.
