I prefer to fight in churches and speak in Waffle Houses, but to each their own I guess.

Champions of Life. .Pretty cool thing CBJ did for some players and their mothers. Classy move.

Wiggins is such an infusion of athleticism in our secondary. Him being a veteran and really only here for one year is perfect cause it keeps us from having to throw so many young players on the field and we can let our youth develop some. If they're good they will rise to the top. (Buh dum che)
But it seems like Shaq is ready to roll and could be the alpha we need at corner. And if Nigel starts making plays... All of a sudden we're a little scary back there.
It also keeps pressure on Justin Martin. The media is making it sound like he's taking big strides, but we'll see. I need to see him put a few good games together. Seemed like he lost confidence last year. Want to see that swagger again. If he finds it he could be really good tho.
Love our options at LB too. We know we've got Kirkland as the man there. Bituli has me really excited. Plus Sapp looked great before his injury last year. I hope he can get going again full strength. And then you've got Cortez, the veteran. I like those pieces a lot. And more of our depth behind them has great experience from last year. Ol' Colton Jumper stepped in for JRM and made plays and helped us beat Florida. Showed a ton of heart. Love having a guy like him as depth. Hopefully we won't have to start him. But we could do much worse if he has to step in.
The talent on the defensive line is good enough to really lead the defense. But we'll need Kahlil to come alive and start dominating. Tuttle could take us to another level too. Taylor/Kongbo/Phillips is a pretty large and scary trio of ends. The pieces are there. It's hard to totally trust because we haven't seen it all work together yet. And we need to stay as healthy as possible. But we recruited all these guys to step into these roles right now. A lot of them have been grooming for this year.
Eventually we"all need some freshmen to be able to step in as needed. But we're really not banking on many on defense. Hopefully one will emerge as a guy we weren't really thinking about that could take us to another level.
Butch made adjustments on defense after a terrible end to the season on that side of the ball. We'll see if they work out. I think Hoke and Warren were great hires. That should pay off on the field and continue to in recruiting.
At this point I want to see Butch succeed and get more time because I kinda believe in his process. He hasn't always gotten us the results we've wanted, but it's been interesting and he has us relevant. We've been in big games and won some of them. I think there will potentially be many more to come. Recruiting feels like it's come back around. We have two really impressive looking QB's who are about to lead us into a new era. Im pretty excited to see what this all looks like. I think from the outside in it looks like this is a shaky program, but on the inside day to day activities I think we're more likely a well oiled machine and everybody involved with football is actually pushing themselves at a championship level. We're on solid ground. We just have to keep hoping we get a year where it all comes together and we catch some luck. But we're definitely in the position to benefit if a we hit a string of lucky breaks. Every good team needs those sometimes to become great. I think right now we're good and we're waiting on our break.
Sorry for the middle of the night ramble but once I started I couldn't stop. Im getting the feels again. Ready for some Tennessee Football back in my life. Keepin the faith!!
Go big orange forever
So, you're like most of our southern brethren
Regarding my schedule, I'm not sure if Freak would dig that sort of thing. Probably against some rules.
Anyone can write to my VN username @yahoo.com and I can let you know.
Yes, Catbone... I know you are sending the noodz. I'm still not opening.

Linebacker worries me more than any position group on the team. Who's the Alpha? Who will come up and set the tone to the other team that they won't be running the ball on us. Not just wrapping a guy up but being a hitter/tone setter.
Bituli shows signs of being that guys I would like to see him grab the Mike spot and move Kirkland to JRMs old spot
