That ended up with the other guy in the hospital... Let's see his picture and see how even it was. Cmon fella, I had the decency to say I was speculating, and here you are saying 'end of story.' What a joke. This is one of the reasons why the country is they way it is now: my bias overrules any facts in the matter... To you it's the end of the story, but it's barely the beginning bud.
I'm not saying anything will be made of this and that JS will most likely be fine, but to have your bias for tn football overwhelm any facts in the matter (before theyre even completely known for chrissakes) is laughable.
These other posts about blaming the media for doing their job is also disgusting. It's like you guys hate america or something.

It was a fight between college roommates. One won the other didn't, regardless of our favorite sports team. No need for forensic evidence, news reports, anti violence marches or burning of bras.

"Hate America" good grief.

That's it, I'm burning my bra. And I'm gonna host a sit-in, and a hunger strike (but I'll ask for replacements to sit in my spot while I go get snacks from time to time).

Had this been just two college roommates and neither were an athletic, would the media have cared? No.

While we're at it, someone see if his girlfriend is interested in said burning of bras.
Purely for political statement reasons of course.

He SAYS he was worried... I've been a situation like this before, and my purely speculative narrative goes like this:

They were arguing about god knows what (drunk). The roommate has had it and is done arguing. He goes to his room and locks the door hoping to end the confrontation and allow JS to settle down. He does not. The opposite happens in fact, and he becomes enraged (think dont you dare walk away from me! Im not done yelling yet!) and kicks down the door. Hijinks ensue.

Just my take from having a similiar situation happen to me.

Nope, being 45 and having been in situations like this in all parts of the world. My guess is his roomy wound up having to puke and poop at the same time and locked the door. He probably past out on the pot, JS got worried and busted the door down. That's when the fight got took to the next level. Roomy probably still had his pants around his ankles when the cops showed. One account said that Josh himself stated he kicked the roommate twice in the face when he was on the ground, causing the injuries that led to hospitalization.

If the roommate was defenseless it kinda changes the whole "it was just a fight" defense.

Feminism makes bad public policy. Cops are compelled to arrest someone due to politicization of domestic violence laws. Lives and reputations get ruined while lawyers get rich.

Alcohol!!! Alcohol!!! Recipe for bad decisions and stupid actions. Almost all of the legal situations involving players include alcohol. Now he needs to rebuild his public persona. We really need Byrd to be ready this fall.

I don't think he needs to rebuild his persona. If this was some bar fight with some unknown guys that's one thing, but a fist fight with a roommate? Nah, a lot of us have been there.

What time of the morning did this occur?

We're they drunk at like 9 am ?

Here's a spin no one mentioned. What if it was a lovers quarrel?

It's all about perceptions of NFL teams and other possible employers. True. A lot of us have been there, but it's a problem when an arrest is involved.
