AHCA Passes House

So House Republicans pass through a bill in which they can't account for and have done no budgeting for. CBO has not evaluated it.

Why?

Me thinks I know.

They read it first? Did the CBO evaluate the ACA before it passed? Short answer is no.

I can't say what's in their hearts but this bill is garbage for non-wealthy people who need healthcare services.

There's nothing in their hearts of any note. Just a bunch of Ayn Rand's garbage they read when they were idiots in college.

The Democrats and Republicans share the same brain

You just think the Democrats are different

They're close enough, I don't throw my weight behind them, but you are sorely mistaken if you think Democrats are as corrupt as today's Republicans.

That's a BS fake news rhetorical sleight of hand.

My wife too. She'll be kicked off her insurance, quite possibly.

Bill Maher did an excellent segment some months back about today's Republicans. Basically that none of them give a crap about people until they actually have a close friend or family member that experiences, say, a health crisis, or have a close friend or family member that is gay.

Today's Republican Party (and I won't associate them with conservatism) is basically about the art of "being a dick," to quote Maher.

Just the hate and greed you see from members of this board are ample proof of that.

If both sides would stop acting holier than thou and exaggerating positions, we might get somewhere.

I would say they are more corrupt, hence all these problems in the government.

To everyone on this board:

If you keep living you will one day have a preexisting condition. That might not be a problem for all of you but it will for some.

The supposedly "rich" guys bragging on here saying they don't care will be the first to whine.

I just can't, with good conscience, support the Democrats, no matter how much I really dont like some Republicans either

The Democrats have backed anti-police, anti-white, anti-christian, and anti-American groups for the past 8 years.

An evil, vile party, full of evil, vile people.

No doubt about it. The greater good does not matter, the Republicans have always been about lining the pockets of their donors and the wealthiest Americans while marginalizing everyone else. Their Christianity card has been revoked - greed is not a virtue. Hypocrisy is their true calling card.

Watching Nancy Pelosi whine about this is hilarious. It was worth watching. Yet we had to pass the bill to see what was in it.

Do you believe in evolution?

I've made it no secret that I sympathize with the Democratic party far more than today's manifestation of so-called "conservatism" in the Republican Party.

While Democrats have numerous flaws, I think they actually care about people more than Republicans. I think all Republicans care about are things like 401ks, tax cuts for the wealthy, and cutting programs for the nation's most vulnerable, including the elderly.

It is one of the most remarkable feats in American politics over the past 20-30 years how the Republican Party has conned an entire generation of Americans - especially many at the lowest rungs of society - that it is anything but the party of the rich man's dollar.

The primary reason I became a Republican was to change this Ayn Rand Soviet agent trend. Unfortunately, I think nothing but its own excesses are going to kill it, and that spells nothing but disaster for us all.

Yep, Democrats care so much for the people they want to keep them dependent.

So what do you guys think is going to happen when you achieve the holy grail of a single payer system? Hint: not what you think.

It's a testament to the impoverishment of public education (another Republican gift) that working Americans actually believe the Republican Party is anything but the party of greed, wealth, and corruption.
