Ga Tech even Cut Blocks on defense!

Stoerner is a good luck charm for us!

Give the man season tickets already!

Stoerner wasn't real lucky for us, when he shreded our defense and threw a game winning touchdown in a 28-24, Arkansas win in 1999. That loss, possibly cost us a chance to defend our '98 National Championship

I wouldn't schedule them. It's a no win situation. Who wants to see them play their bubble gum offense and if we get a couple or three guys hurt on defense will it be worth it? Smh

Dude was really trippin that game!

That was in the middle of a 5 year stretch where their WRs just gave us fits!

"During individual periods, both the defensive line and defensive backs were working on fighting off cut blocks. Under the watchful eye of Brady Hoke, the linemen were shuffling side to side and giving two-hand shoves to pads laying on the ground and kept in place by a manager. The cornerbacks used their own teammates instead of pads as Charlton Warren barked out instruction.

Tennessee’s season opener against Georgia Tech is still months away, but it’s not too early to get a little bit of a head start in working on defending the unique triple-option offense the Yellow Jackets will throw at the Vols in Atlanta." -247

Glad we're already putting emphasis on this.

It's valuable knowledge that Warren has regarding defending GT. He played for AF and beat GT twice while coaching at UNC. He should know the ins and outs of the defense.

Excited to see what Picou can do this year. He has the potential to see a lot of snaps, and it seems he's finally gotten big enough to move from the "tweener" label to a legitimate inside player.

And the "bring the boat in" interview he did the other day has me loving and really pulling for this kid. Hope he's able to take a big step forward this season.

Agreed! This kid has the "want to" and has displayed it on and off the field since arriving, I'm expecting big things out of this youngster this season.

We've seen a lot of work on defending cut blocks. I was watching the GT game against UK and they were going after knees on almost every offensive play. I saw one block that was exactly the same as the one that broke Tuttle's leg against UGA. Cheap, cheap.

It's a Georgia thing...

The Bear won National Championships with the same offense. I bet Bama fans still like it.

Please put on your future thinking cap and state who you think will be the 4 that open season at DT and DE.
I know this requires guessing on the injury recovery time on several guys.

He shedded is in 98 too. Good player involved in a freak play turned disaster. That's all.
