Best/worst case scenarios for Vols entering NFL.

James Harrison was cut many times by the Steelers and spent years on practice squads before becoming a star. Kurt Warner had to play in the Arena League and NFL Europe before becoming a Hall of Famer.

Just because you don't play as a rookie doesn't mean you won't be good.

You're contradicting yourself. Derrick Henry is a bust after one year is what you posted before this.

He's only been in the NFL for 1 year, and it wasn't a bad year.

He was mediocre behind the best or second best offensive line in football.

A 29 year old RB who averaged 3.6 ypc the season before was ahead of him on the depth chart and averaged the roughly the same yards per carry on significantly more touches.

If Henry played behind any other line, he would have averaged less than 3.7 yards per carry like Murray did the year before in Philly.

You've slipped back to the point of obvious trolling.

He's behind the best (or second best) line in football and averaged the same yards per carry as a washed up 29 year old RB who averaged 3.6 ypc the year before in Philly.

Henry should thank God he runs behind that line at Tennessee cause if he didn't he would have had less than 300 yards last year and less than 3.7 yards per carry.

The same Murray that lead the league in rushing before last year?

Those facts don't say what you want them to say.
Murray trailed Henry in YPC despite the fact that Henry was often the short yardage back.
And if you want to talk about the year before: the Titans o-line was absolute garbage the year before. Funny how drafting a fantastic right tackle and bringing in two news backs can make a line look all-world.

And Kelvin Taylor rushed for no yards behind no offensive line because he didn't make a team. He spent the year on the practice squad of the 25th ranked rushing team in the league. He wasn't able to make a team that averaged 3.9 YPC and and less than 100 YPG.

Yes he has.

I am thinking you actually don't watch the NFL. Why do you say he's a bust? The Titans got Murray and Henry has been spelling him. I think you make outrageous statements just to get reactions. I don't believe you're as stupid as your posts suggests

Murray's year in Philly shows that it was the Titans o-line that made the RBs. Murray averaged 3.6 ypc in Philly. That jumped to 4.4 in Tennessee. That was the o-line.

And that same o-line made the backup a 4.5 ypc back. Put Henry behind the other lines in football and averages 3.6-3.7 ypc like Murray when he was in Philly.

Trolling

So he's old and washed up as he did close to his career average last year?

He's was washed up when he averaged 3.6 ypc behind the average o-line of the Eagles. He gets put behind the second best o-line in the league at Tennessee and he's back at 4.4 ypc.

Put Murray behind an average line and he's back to the player he was in Philly. Not the guy who was made great his last year in Dallas by a great o-line and made great again last year by a great o-line at Tennessee.

Dallas's Oline in 2014 was not the line it is now. That's where your argument collaspes. You can put Elliot behind the worst Oline in the league, and his numbers would dip significantly.

Actually it was. Dallas's o-line became elite in 2014 when Zach Martin was drafted and played at an all-pro level right off the bat as a rookie. Same thing happened this year with Tennessee and Jack Conklin. That 2014 Dallas line had 3 All-Pros (Zach Martin, Travis Fredrick, and Tyron Smith). And they were the major reason they made the playoffs and almost beat Green Bay in the divisional round.

To say the Cowboys o-line wasn't elite in 2014 is asinine. They were clearly the best in the league.

You should really reach out to some NFL teams. I'm sure most would love to have you on board.

They're elite now, but they even needed a little development.

I really admire D4H's logical gymnastics.

Demarco Murray got behind a bad line in a bad system in Philly and put up lousy numbers. This proves he's washed up

BUT

Jalen Hurd got behind a bad line in a bad system at UT and was the worst starting running back in the SEC. This proves that Butch Jones is just a terrible coach because Hurd is a guaranteed superstar.

There is no way for D4H to rationalize these takes other than "I'm right because of course I'm right."
