This is Kelvin Taylor's "pro career" thus far....

Taylor was selected in the sixth round, 211th overall, in the 2016 NFL Draft by the 49ers. On September 3, 2016, he was released by the 49ers as part of final roster cuts and was signed to the practice squad the next day.[8][9] He was released by the 49ers on November 28, 2016.


On November 30, 2016, Taylor was signed to the Seahawks' practice squad.[11] He was released on December 8, 2016.[12] On December 13, 2016 he was signed to the Seahawks' active roster.[13] He was released on December 20, 2016 and re-signed to the practice squad.[14] He signed a reserve/future contract with the Seahawks on January 16, 2017.


Boy, he's one helluva stud that one. Why, teams are just clamoring.....to release him and sign him to their practice squads. Lol.

Look, you're not good at evaluating football players, especially when it comes to running backs (see: Hurd, Jalen). Just stop. Taylor's never gonna do anything in the league while Derrick Henry has already shown promise and production as a rookie and has a bright future....anyone with a lick of sense and football knowledge can see both those things, which explains why you can't.

Never said he was a stud. Just that he would be better than Derrick Henry. And that shouldn't be too hard considering how bad Derrick Henry is even while running behind one of the best o-lines in the NFL.

Although its rare, there are guys who have pretty good NFL careers that have slow starts to their career. Melvin looks like one of those guys. Just look at Josh Norman. It took him 3 years in the NFL to become a dominant player.

I never said Kelvin would be an elite RB in the NFL. I only said he would be better than future NFL bust Derrick Henry.

You said he was the second best running back in the draft last year behind only Elliott....that kinda assumes you think he's a stud, no?

He'll never sniff the opportunities or career accomplishments of Henry when it's all said and done because he has only a fraction of the ability of Derrick Henry. Just hide and watch brother.

Not really. That was a weak RB class. For example this year I have had Naziar Jones (UNC) as my #2 interior defensive lineman in the NFL draft after Solomon Thomas. But the position is weak so I don't expect him to a stud like I do Solomon Thomas. He's simply the second best player in a weak position group.

Not IMO. I think this is an average QB class. You got 2 franchise caliber QBs (Dobbs and Kaaya). Another than can develop into a solid starter (Pat Mahomes). And a bunch of decent backups.

Its not a great QB draft. But it's not as bad as people are making it out to be.

No backtracking. I never said Kelvin would be a star like Zeke. All I said is he would be better than Henry who I viewed as a bust.

With that said, I did feel Kelvin would be a solid starting RB in the NFL for a numbers of years that gets 1000+ yards. And I still do.

Norman played in every game his rookie year. Kelvin Taylor never dressed.

James Harrison was cut many times by the Steelers and spent years on practice squads before becoming a star. Kurt Warner had to play in the Arena League and NFL Europe before becoming a Hall of Famer.

Just because you don't play as a rookie doesn't mean you won't be good.
