Well, I guess we should be thankful that you quit beating the dead horse for a while. Back at it with a renewed purpose.
Great, just great.

Darth is the one going back to the well again. I was talking ceiling and floor for 2017. He started talking buyout.

Damages recruiting too much. Extend him or fire him. That's our decisions imo.

Nah lol plenty of teams are the same position with their head coach this year as we'd be in with Butch in that position in 2018. Sumlin' son that position right now going into a make or break year and they pulled a better recruiting class (on paper) than Butch did with 4 seasons left this year. I don't understand why you think the only options are extend or fire. Most recruits don't pay that much attention to the contract stuff as much as they pay attention to whether they think they can win under a coach anyway.

If we have another so-so 8-4 season, the only way he's getting extended is if he gets the Malzahn treatment and is symbolically extended for one year without changing the actual contract details that much.

Lol dodge responsibility for your own actions much? Those two conversations go hand in hand.

You've been the one repeating that the only two options for Butch after 2017 are being fired or extended.

I brought up his contract and buyout originally as factors for why I don't think Currie would make a change after an 8-4 season, then I looked into it more closely and decided that, fiscally, Currie would seem to have the option open because of offsetting language in the contract that is beneficial to the University. But I still think that, from a purely financial position, the end of the 2018 season seems like the best time for a change.

In reality it depends on what we see on the field though. It could be possible for us to have a "good" 8-4 season or even a "bad" 9-3 season depending on how the games themselves play out.

Chandler will be ready to roll with Kelly. Jordan and Coleman competing with CFA for 3rd spot. Not worried about RB, especially if JG wins the job.

I did hear CRG say he as been skyping Chandler and reviewing the film of the offensive installs with him after each practice.

Because he isn't a high school student anymore! That's pretty damn simple.

I'm so upset! The missed practice was going to be the one where Trey "gets it." Unfortunately he'll never have an opportunity to attend another football practice and thus will never "get it."

Also, highschool proms happen every year... He could go back after his playing career is over for as many years as the police allow before locking him up.

If it was that important and he wanted to be a normal hs senior he shouldn't have EEed.

Of course, there was NO benefit to the program and sacrifice to Trey Smith when he EEed. This is clearly a case of entitlement on Trey Smith's part. How dare he?!?! Especially not with all the compensation he's getting for his efforts and time!

They better not pay him his salary on this day of missed practice!
