Josh Dobbs visiting the Steelers today

The difference in you and KB, he will own it if he is wrong. You just disappear.

No, he dropped the disappearing act. Now he's developed a logic in which he can never be wrong. If one of his guaranteed stars falls flat, it's the coach's fault. If one of his guaranteed busts balls out, he's a one year wonder who will fall flat next year.

Why isn't KBVol breaking news on Dobbs draft stock anymore? https://twitter.com/nfldraftitwr/status/849285022783873024

I remember a few months ago he was eager to scour the internet for any news he could find on Dobbs draft stock. And of course he came back with a plethora of folks saying Dobbs would be a 6th-7th round pick or even an UFA. Now I'm finding buzz every other day of Dobbs potentially going in the 3rd round and I hear not a peep from KBVol. I wonder why?

It seems like he only enjoys breaking news on Dobbs if its NEGATIVE.

I'm living rent free in somebody's head

When? I've never disappeared.

The only prolonged absences I've had from this site since joining were a couple of times I was banned for 10 days or so for "trolling" or "inappropriate language" per the notices I received.

So, I apologize for interrupting everyone's memories of who said what when and whether there was any justification for what was said, has there actually been any news about Dobbs's visit?

"News" being defined as what people who have some knowledge of the visit have to say, as opposed to the usual ya-ya-ya that seems to rule VN these days.

If so, many thanks. :hi:

There's one draft analyst that I trust and that would be Scott Wright. He has Dobbs most likely going in the 4th round. He also has Alvin in the third round.

Who is this Scott Wright? And why would you trust him above others? Does he have some history of being more right than others?

Draftcountdown.com . He's regarded as one of the best draft analyst in the business. He's been doing draft stuff since I was a 5 year old. He has a big history of being right. He was even featured in Madden one year. He's often on shows during draft season.

You guys are arguing with an idiot. Before season he was all about Dobbs and then he quit on him after a bad game. Said he wasn't coming back, I am done (to good to be true) and now he is all Dobbs again. He is smoking the strong stuff and is out of touch with the world. He is coo-coo! Nuts! Crazy! Doesn't know anything about football.

You got that right brother! I loathe the Steelers, but if any of theses guys made their team, I would certainly watch them.

There's already a few Vols on the team - Ramon Foster, Daniel McCullers and Justin Hunter

My evaluation of Josh Dobbs

Pros:

- He's a great runner at the QB position.
- Great Vision as a runner
- Elusive
- Great intangibles like work ethic and intelligence

Cons:

- Average arm strength.
- Bullets do not have a lot of zip
- His instincts under pressure is either #1 or run
- Does not read beyond his primary receiver well
- Long Throw accuracy is mediocre

All in all, Dobbs is a 4th to 5th rounder in the worst QB class I have seen since the Alex Smith/ Aaron Rodgers class.

Were you in a coma in 2013?

Cause there is no way no matter how down you think this QB class is, that it's worse than the 2013 class.

And for the record I think this class has 2 surefire franchise QBs: Dobbs and Kaaya. Its not a great QB class but its definitely not the worst since 2005.

It's almost as bad as 2013. I just looked at it again and 2013 is the worst I've ever seen. 2007 was also terrible.

I'm shocked that this clown doesn't know who he is...... Shocked

He's perfectly fine as a passer. What he did behind a terrible o-line and receivers who couldn't catch was remarkable.

Dude, he was throwing it in the ground in front of recievers 10 yards down the field!

His only talent on the field was scrambling!

As deluded as D4H can be at least he is pumping up one of the best QB's this program has seen. I find it shocking how people get so put off by his overeager optimism cna make folks go so far the opposite direction.

Dobbs is a much better passer than he ever got to show at UT. Given the Oline he played behind it is a miracle he put up the PASSING numbers he did. Now do I think he is a surefire franchise QB in the NFL.. not really. I hope he can eventually become a good starter at some point and think he has that ability at least. The truth is he has a very very high ceiling. The O-line and WR problems we had here during his tenure stunted his growth immensely.

Donovan Mcnabb i think is the best comparison to him. Mcnabb had a 58.4% completion percentage in college. vs Dobbs 61.5. When Dobbs was allowed to finally start throwing the ball down the field consistently this year he performed.

I think the Steelers or Cardinals are the best fit for Dobbs but I didn't even think about Saints thats interesting. Brees on last few years, plus Domes play in Dobbs favor too.

What about the Dolphins? Aren't they looking for a QB too?

Dobbs would need to improve to be anywhere near McNabb. That completion % statistic is meaningless without detail. McNabb was throwing the ball downfield far more than Dobbs
