I could be very wrong, but it seems like Richmond isn't taking control of the LT position. Hope I am wrong, but if he isn't then Big Trey might see the field sooner than we thought.
I'm not sure that's the case. I see Richmond at LT this year with the freshman backing him up. Next year it would surprise me not to see Richmond move to the RT position as he has some vision issues and the freshman out of Jackson then a sophomore become the starting LT and become an eventual AA there.

I've noticed in quite few videos on volquest that qbs are working under Center at various spots on field even goal line

How on earth is WR and RB deeper lol

I cab't do this on a phone cat but if QD doesn't work out JG is there and if he goes down we have SJ sitting there and if he goes down WM doesn't sound like a bad option. All reports are he is holding his own and a pretty good college qb. The rb have a lot to prove but they aren't going to blow up the team half way through the season, and we have like 4 of them without looking it up.

You are probably right. The thing I'm concerned with is that our former 5-star LT isn't making sure he locks down the position. Never really here about him in practice reports and it looked like Tatum was had better technique and was pushing the sled better. I know one drill doesn't give you close to a full picture, but it just seems like Richmond isn't living up to expectations so far.

He left Hugh Freeze at the altar at zero hour before signing day to sign with us. He's already lived up to my expectations. :)

True dat!! I don't see with how little we've seen, one could come to the conclusion that DR isn't holding down his spot? Seems if there was a problem at that important position, we would be hearing from the writers there was concern.
Think if Trey plays tackle anytime soon it will be on the right side.. JMO

They definitely are deeper than last year where it was basically if dobbs gets hurt we are doomed. We only lost Josh Malone at WR, a big loss, but Butch has improved WR depth every year he has been here. RB is questionable being described as deeper after losing Hurd and Kamara

Running back is THINNER than last year, it seems to me, and may not be as good. A lot will depend on how good CVA is. And QB is problematic since nobody has any real experience. Those are two key positions with question marks. I suppose Kelly is OK, but he's not Kamara or Hurd.

I don't know about the rest of you but part of the fun of following college football for me is seeing how all the unknowns/unproven play out for the season. I don't know how good this team is going to actually be but I am VERY intrigued with this team because of that. It makes the anticipation for the upcoming season even greater for me.

LoL I just looked it up. 6 RB LISTED.

How many of those are walkons and/or guys you've never heard of? The answer is 4....only two are guys you know, Kelly and CFA and CFA was in a boot today.

Thank God Chandler comes in this summer with the two lower rated rbs. But there's no way we're deeper at the position this year than last after losing AK and Hurd.

Kelly is better than Hurd.

Dobbs didn't play RB or WR?

We do look better in person to a man. Rock in a short time has done wonders. CFA looked good Saturday he is an SEC running back. Drew and Kongbo battled each other all day. Drew much more prepared than last year. Tackle position and how it shakes out is all up to how Chance Hall can train all offseason and stay healthy.

John Kelly RB 5-9 212 JR
Carlin Fils-aime RB 5-11 175 SO
Stedman Love RB 5-8 175 RS FR
Taeler Dowdy RB 6-1 185 SO
Jayson Sparks RB 5-7 187 RS JR
Chip Omer RB 6-0 200 RS FR

There will be guys coming out of the woodwork this year. Guys you've never seen or heard of.

Correct. Meanwhile we lost 2 NFL bodies out of the backfield.

RB is not deeper. This coming from a guy that believes in CFA more than most.

I haven't seen anything to get excited about regarding the play of CFA, but he only played in rare situations last fall. So he has a chance this fall to prove himself reliable and capable just like Kelly did last year when given the chance.

Strictly by numbers, we're deeper.

We started last year at 4 on scholarship, finished with 3 on scholarship, and were down to 2 when AK was out.

This year we'll have 5. That's more than than 4, 3, 2. Deeper.
