Seriously man did you not read my original post? I never predicted that kind of failure, I said we had potential to be dominant, and we have the potential to fail spectacularly. How come you don't acknowledge that? I actually said in essence that we would probably have a good season, but not a dominant one. Why are you dumping on me just be dumping?

So with that background assumed I will make my case... First I am a coach and have the utmost respect for all things UT athletics.
Second, I am perfecty fine with armchair quarterbacks on here that are humble and willing to learn (I got started by being a smart player and having connections through that) in essence I wasn't far from them.

However, it is because of coaching and knowing (from stories by previous coaches from UT and others from other places) of what these guys go through on a regular bases (yes the good and the bad) to put their body on the lines for the same UT program that we all cheer for...
THEN TO BE CALLED FAT AND NOT TAKING IT SERIOUSLY... that is when it all started for me. Also, constantly talking about how butch should be fired, Shoop doesn't know what he is doing .... Blah blah blah...

It's ok to question but to say they are not committed and calling them fat...

You be the judge... I am not the greatest or most informed coach about football but I know enough to know that is completely unacceptable... Where is the line... Because if that's ok it's getting really murky... (No problem with you defending someone more power to you for that) ... Just next time know who your defending...

They (All of US), are fans. You shouldn't get all riled up about what people post on a FOOTBALL BOARD. Shame on you for getting caught up in childish comments about a player. You should know better. If you do have experience in the field of play and outside of it then you should know that those comments are often said. It's the way of the "Fan". It happens in all sports and yes it's sad cause he's a kid. But the fact remains it still Happens. I used to be called "Chubby" then I grew and grew and grew. Then those comments seemed to stop. Lol

All of my coaches told us not to pay attention to matters such as those. And attacking me is the wrong thing to do. I could care less about "Likes". It's a "Fan" board and from where I sit and also yourself , we are FANS! Doesn't matter who we were yesteryear.

If you can come along and drop some knowledge, from time to time, on play scenarios or schemes then so be it. Just know that this site can consume even the bravest souls. Lol

I don't have one beef with anyone from this board, and not about to worry about your rebuttal. Most times I just check in to keep up on recruits and some other details. It's a good little site to see what the fans are saying or harping about, and Big Boss up in here keeps people in check and keeps out most trolls.

So go easy on folks man, we are all family and don't get so emotionally attached. It's all good.

I think your misunderstanding the point... I only ran at D4H because he started down grading "Our Family" which starts and ends with the players that make "our family" possible.

It is because I am a coach that, that highly offends me. However, it was childish of me to respond to someone that clearly doesn't know SH$& about football. Also, if someone talked about my players like that they would disallowed from any place that my team participated.... That's called speaking for someone who can't, which is what I was trying to accomplish here...

But maybe I should jut stop posting here and check back every once in awhile... Calm my nerves of some people...

Ignore feature. You will not miss a thing, except when somebody quotes the village idiot of the moment. Which includes me. :)

Just a bunch of renegades on here that sometimes post trash to raise a stink and watch how the battles play out. Some are still doing the old acting out a character deal. It is what it is. Sometimes you will see a more serious discussion on real football and can get into it. Most times you won't. More of them occur in the players's threads.

Lol sorry man. It was all light hearted. I wasn't trying to "come at you", I just got a chuckle out of the "fail spectacularly" part.

Please keep posting. You are going to get into disagreements some, I am sure. We all do. I try to remember that we are all pulling for the same team (for the most part) and let some of the stupidity slide on by.

My new years resolution was to stop trying to correct someone on the internet every time I disagree with them, no matter how stupid their post/tweet/etc...is. I've not been anywhere near perfect at it, but man I didn't realize how instinctual it is, that urge to respond to something stupid. I've had to revise my resolution to ignore every 2 out of 3 lol
