Heck no lol come holler at me at the Mike Vick camp in Nashville. I'll be there working. 😎😎😎😎
Gotta question for you... When do you like to use Catch man technique... I have asked some coach friends that have given some different answers... I know a lot of it depends on skills and ability but if you had the means to do it... Is it a go to 3rd down long call, 1st down, second and medium (5-7)
That's almost word for word what I told them...Depends on the athletes and the QB you're playing against. Also it's good to use as a mix up to your zone calls. But it would depend on the personnel I have and would be playing against. I teach it and the inching technique a lot(what Ohio State uses a lot of) to CBs that have trouble with big WRs. Helps a lot with stopping the jump balls.
That's what I was thinking but couldn't remember for sure... So do you short shuffle to stay in front on a stem by the WR... How long do you wait till you open your hips?
Ya I understand that... But I am saying is there a number youtube your guys that "hey if the break this cushion yardage then you turn your hips and squeeze (we call riding a WR squeezing, just have to do it the right way) him.I mean it depends on every player. Some do things better than others and are advised to use what's best to get the job done. We open hips up when a WR starts attacking vertical but we also maintain contact throughout the route(riding a WR). My CBs ride like Florida guys(it's not a good CB that doesn't hold the right way lol). We look to cut off vertical routes early though and redirect WRs underneath to our help.
