Dormady was all business and almost stoic in meeting with the media after practice, but he kept referencing the importance of consistency determining who will emerge in the race.

"I'm just trying to be myself," the Texas native said. "I'm not going to change. The only thing, like I've said, is just trying to be consistent. That's the biggest thing. I'm not going to change who I am for something. I am who I am, and I've been that way for 21 years."

"I'm not going to change who I am for something" tells me everything I need to know about the QB battle.

Just think it's the best move unless JG just absolutely blows him out of the water. As of now, that's not the case. QD throws a great ball and he's not Peyton in terms of mobility. He can scramble a bit when we need it.

JG may win the job, who knows. But he ain't "blowing him out of the water". As Ainge said this morning, QD (and JG) is good enough to start for any team in the SEC.

Well, pretty sure JG was the #1 dual threat QB in his class and I'd hate to lose him. I've got nothing against QD, but my gut tells me that JG would be the better fit long term.

How fat are you, again? :)

That's my concern as well. And I'd rather have JG for 3-4 years rather than QD for 2...

How do you know? We've never seen JG take a snap. We think we know that he's physically gifted based on what's been reported, but none of us knows what type of SEC QB he's gonna be.

Both these guys are so good. Probably best QB battle we've had since at least Ainge / Schaffer; maybe even Manning / Stewart. As much as people have bragged on JG, I would not rule out Dormady at all. It's going to be tough to watch one of these guys sit on the bench, because both could start for the majority of SEC teams right now.
