Article: Why the Cleveland Browns are a perfect fit for Josh Dobbs

****... there is a controversy brewing. Apparently the deal was against NFL bi laws. This is classic Haslam. The union and an arbitrator is going to have to approve the deal.

The Browns worked it so that they basically moved up on the draft for cash. It's against the laws. The thing is Osweiler is now a Browns. No way around that. The Browns are working the hellmout of this draft right now. They may in fact be trying to trade for more picks.

If they can do it then it will be an incredible deal.

So haslam and Sasha brown basically broke the rules and looked at everybody and said "do something about it", like Uber.

I don't think there is anyone left in the league that is dumb enough to want Osweiler, much less give up a third round pick for him. The only team that may be dumber than Haslem and the Browns may be the Jets.

And now Pryor is visiting Washington. He gone. They kept telling everyone "we will not panic if we don't resign him".

Yea that might be true but I don't think they make that deal without getting a feeling or rumblings that he could be shipped somewhere.

If anyone but Haslem owned them you may be right. The Bears got Glennon, who is serviceable, but a bad contract. The Jets are at least talking to Cutler, 49ers signed Brian Hoyer. Who is left that is trapped in QB purgatory but Cleveland???

There is no situation involving Osweiler that you should be booming. He is awful.

1: I'm going to get these collard greens and porkchops in me.

2: I'm going to open a beer for dessert.

3: I'm going to check the latest news about the Browns and see where we stand with Pryor.

4; I'm going to watch this basketball game.

5: I might decide to argue with you about that,

6: I'm going to pretend like my wife is NOT watching that movie with my young daughter.

The Cleveland Browns have raided the open market with one prime goal: fix their leaky offensive line.

2017 Combine: Overall winners and losers

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported Thursday that the team is signing free-agent guard Kevin Zeitler to a massive contract that will pay the former Bengals mauler $60 million over five years, making him the highest-paid guard in the NFL. Zeitler will also earn $31.5 million in guarantees.

I told you. They are clearing the #11 jersey for Dobbs.

Well, early on I was thinking they could replace Pryor with Dobbs, but I'm not sure Dobbs is interested in that kind of roll, and we could make better use of Barnett or Sutton. If they grab Dobbs, he will fill that multiple roll of Pryor. I'm not convinced Pryor is gone yet though. The Browns might have kept him at the table so long he missed out on the money he wanted.

From a strictly personal point of view, I would love to see Malone in a browns uni. I think that kid is going to be good before it's all over.

So, as long as they keep osweiler for the coming year, Barnett, Sutton, and Malone are all better choices for the Browns before Dobbs. If they trade Osweiler, all bets are off.
