The Cleveland browns would be a perfect fit if josh dobbs never wanted to play more than 2 years.

I actually agree with the author. Cleveland would be a great fit. There are many positives:

1. Low Expectations
2. Immediate Playing Time
3. QB expert for a Head Coach
4. Decent Offensive Line

All Josh would need to do is give the position some stability and provide leadership. If he does that the fans will be happy given the recent history of QB in Cleveland.
Clevland would be the kiss of death for Josh. That O-Line is hot garbage and he won't be able to scramble and run in the NFL the way he did in college. No QB can for that matter. NFL Defenses are simply to fast and hit way to hard. If Cleveland takes Josh and throws him to the wolves then he won't survive more than 4 seasons in the NFL.

Couldn't agree any more. I would say 2 seasons even.

I would rather Butch Jones get a lifetime contact at UT.

Nobody deserves being stuck in Cleveland.

The talk is the browns are going after Tyrod Taylor hard right now. That would significantly open up the draft for them if they could pull it off. It's not going to get them to a superbowl, but it might be enough to get them above 500 until something bigger comes along...who knows, maybe the new QB coach + Taylor would work out well.

Tyrod is way overrated in my opinion. He had L.Mccoy in the backfield, Sammy Watkins, Robert woods, m.goodwin, Charles clay, and still couldn't win games. McCoy alone should of been able to balance the offense and open up the passing game easily. He doesn't throw many interceptions which is a good thing but even if you factor in his rushing skills, that's only 23 touchdowns for last season which is mediocre in the NFL. Heck the bills even benched him some for EJ manual last season.

No coach. I can just see things others can't when it comes to projecting players from college to the pros. You can call it a gift.

lol, so you are like an nfl scout free agent waiting to be hired by a team?

I'm actually a professional football player, I'm just a free agent.

What the Browns want and need is a bigger QB. They need a BIG guy behind center and there just isn't one available right now. Basically they are going to build up the team around the QB position in hopes of getting a big guy as soon as one becomes available. Myles Garrett would be an absolute flop in cleveland and everyone knows it. He doesn't want to be there at all. If they pick him they could have significant leverage in trading him for more picks though. This is going to be a crazy draft.

personally I think Christian McCaffrey would be a great fit for the browns.

Running back is the last thing they need. They have Crowell and Duke Johnson who are two pretty solid backs that complement each other well. They need an OLine before they draft any QB. No QB on the face of planet earth could have played behind there line this year.

Most of what the Browns need is either not available or not splashy high picks. The Browns are in a funny place at the top of the draft. Honestly they need to trade down.

Yeah, I realize that but if you look at what the browns need. It's not splashy names. They need a pass rusher, but not garrett, they need to get younger at the oline (no splashy names available), they need to get younger at the secondary (sutton maybe?). The positions of need are not positions you pick off the top of the draft. Hugh Jackson is a scoring offensive guy though. He wants more scoring power. That's why I'm saying they might get some one versatile that can be moved around from position to position. I could see them grabbing a really versatile type scoring player. They are about to lose a couple of there best scoring players in contract negotiations I think.

I agree. Try to do something like the Titans did last year. Continue to suck it up like hot mess next season and try to get the USC quarterback.

Imagine The Crow, Duke, McCaffery, Peppers, that tight end Njoku from Miami and Tyrod Taylor. You can eat 5 yards a pop all game long with that line up. If you could sneak in a high rated pass rusher, or safety as well. That's about as good a draft as I can see.

they love to draft speed receivers like Ross though. They will probably do something stupid like that.

They need a better rushing defense before anything. They were last in the NFL last season in rushing yards allowed per game. They're losing pryor which is a huge blow but they're hoping Corey Coleman pans out, he showed promise at the beginning of the season before he got hurt. I could see them taking a WR in the mid rounds maybe to fill in that spot where Pryor left. Their secondary is very young. A rookie, a 2 year guy, a 4 year guy, and a 7 year guy in Joe Hadan one of the best in the league. They need to replace both lines.
