I would say that this will be my last comment on the AD search, but it likely will not be. I find it interesting that Davenport only interviewed one candidate and hired him. Why would she not have personally interviewed the other candidates if she was truly interested in finding the best person for the job?

I think it's pretty obvious that her boss (the Haslams) told her what to do. Sadly she appears to be the same yes man her predecessors were when it comes to the actual power players/money men that pull the strings at UT and who have done so for far too long.

My personal theory is that Davenport is a huge fan of Mad Men and couldn't say no to an AD prospect who somewhat resembles John Hamm.

Isn't Chris Low one of those guys that likes to find things to drag UT through the mud though. I honestly can't remember....seems to me like I remember him being an idiot, but could be wrong. I'm still recovering, so my brain could quite possibly be more addled than normal.

He's an alum who loves UT

Hmmmm. Apparently the Vikings may be interested in Kamara as Adrian Peterson's replacement? He met with them today.

Wow BB, that is interesting. Ak would be a good fit in the Viking offense. They run a lot of plays out of the shotgun too...so the learning curve going into the NFL wouldn't be quite as bad for him either.

Glad you posted this. Gives us something to talk about other than the AD.

I'd give you a like for it, but I can't, because I am you.

Some people are making a big deal over the fact that Currie didn't mention Butch. Low even pointed it out. What do you guys think? That mean anything?

99.9999% of public statements and press conference answers don't mean anything. It's a prepared speech scripted for the sole purpose of giving as little away as possible and offending as few people as possible.

Tiny Richardson bench pressed 225 lbs 36 times at the combine with 35 inch arms. I'd like for the rest of you to go look at the NFL combine results for today and come back and tell me that Tiny Richardson wasn't an athletic freak.

I wish his knees would've held out.

Brice on 1045 in Nashville basically just said Fulmer got screwed. He was already beginning to get his staff together over the weekend. I wonder who on the committee told him he got the job?

Don't hurt yourself with all that gratuitous self-back patting.

Kamara with 15 bench reps at the combine.

Dalvin Cook with 22, Corey Clement with 19, Gallman with 21.

Bench isn't really important for RBs, but when you compare Kamara to other RBs his size, I think it makes me wonder how bad our S&C program really was.

I'm interested to see how our other guys do on the BP as well.

Malone came in at 6'3 208 with 31 3/8" arms and 9 5/8" hands.

Also of note: Watson came in at 6'2 221 with 33" arms and 9 3/4" hands. Dispelling D4H's myth that Dobbs is a much larger QB and Watson is a 6'0 undersized prospect.

Also, Peterman came in at 6'2 226 with 32 3/8" arms and 9 7/8" hands.

Would be an awesome back for the Vikings. Peterson struggled early in the NFL with ball security, and they/he remedied that. I think if Kamara overcomes his lone shortcoming, he'll be big-time RB for whichever team picks him up. Hope it's the Vikes.

Here's your 'like'.
