And had she interviewed all the candidates and come to the conclusion they were not capable, I would be much less skeptical of her comments.
Had she ruled out other power 5 candidates after interviews?

Best I can tell, she interviewed one.
Which reeks of her power 5 comment having nothing to do with it. Sounds like one very influential person made the choice and she came up with a quick response to smooth it all over.

And I find that response hypocritical given her situation.

Telling a Bill Snyder to "Sit your Ass Back Down!" is not knowing your place.

Most coaches would have told him to got to hell.

It's not like these stories were not out there already. That's why I can't understand people asking me why I think this is a total screw hob of a hire. This guy Currie is a effing moron..If he talks to Butch like that, chances are he will be picking teeth out of the carpet. This is NOT going to end well imo..stupid effing hire in every way possible but one...money grubbin $$$$$$

They are struggling to find anyone of significance to say good things about this guy.

UTsports.com has the rowing coach and the volleyball coach.

This is a terrible hire but it is so UT. This Bev lady hired someone to come in and worry about money and compliance. I am so sick of UT athletics. Winning is never the priority. The priority is bleeding the fanbase and building facilities we don't need.

While I don't agree with lambasting the women and let me preface this by saying I don't use Twitter, If she can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. I think it's stupid for these people to have twitter. All it does is set them up for stuff like this.

One thing is for sure, she enters her tenure here at Tennessee more despised than Jimmy Cheek. You think they made these hires to make us miss Dave Hart and Jimmy Cheek?

Seems to me like you have a problem with anyone who doesn't have their straw in the bathwater. My problem is with the process and the administration in general. I really haven't said much about Currie.

You wouldn't notice though because you're too busy being sensitive and deflecting any perceived shots at the University that doesn't care what we think in the first place.

Zeroed in on the guy who she could control and would do what she wanted. Raise money and keep us out of compliance issues and stay out of her way.
