One break at work and I check twitter.

So far, I've seen people with some variation of VFL, Orange, Vol, Vols, etc in their handles call John Currie "Judas" (I'm not sure why), a "steaming pile of s**t", and take shots at him and his daughters when he posted a picture with them.

We seriously need to corral these freaks.

Twitter was a mistake.

Old news now, probably but I was thinking about Fulmer. He inspired such loyalty in his players--even years later. That counts for a lot.

I wonder if Butch will have that same kind of loyalty?

I think we are seeing a transition from Big Jim to Jimmy from an influence standpoint. Not sure it's a good thing.

Oh it has been that way I'm pretty sure.

Jimmy is currently somehow making the Browns worse along with Tennessee athletics and has the billion dollar company he inherited in the middle of an FBI investigation.

And we are letting him call the shots.

Anyone else kinda sick of the haslams?

Yes. Appreciate the money they poured into the school. Hate the power they gained from it because it has been straight up lunacy since they gained the upper hand. Most fans have no idea that the disunity going back to the Majors/Fulmer fiasco was worsened by that family.

So who all is visiting this weekend? anybody going to commit?

What will Kamara, Malone and Suttons 40 time be?

Will JRM impress enough at the combine to earn a good draft spot? Obviously a talented player. Will be a steal in the draft imo.

Browns going to draft Dobbs? What round? With some good coaching I think he can get a lot better.

Can we talk about anything else?

Well when your brother is the governor and controls key appointments... The sad thing is no one ever calls them out because a lot of the ones that would and have a chance at being heard or a big enough voice are either beholden to them or too wary of them to want to pick a fight with them. I'm sure if fans started to gripe they'd pull back some given Bill's involvement in politics but the average fan isn't thinking about the real power players and is more apt to blame someone more easily seen than the ones calling the shots behind the scenes.

I think the insane amount of catastophic injuries, and to a lesser extent dysfunctional team dynamics caused the football slide. The BB team is just about a perfect example of what a very young but decently talented, well coached team usually is...wildly erratic. The women's BB problem is simple..Holly Warlick is a completely horrible HC.

Agree. I just think it's strange to have all of it happen at the same time.

If he goes in the later rounds I could see it. You've hit the issue, he never had the QB coaching he needed to strongly improve his passing. His footwork never really improved all that much in 4 seasons. Yet, on here, we've had VN experts defending the staff and Butch as being infallible. There has not been a QB coach since Jake left and his time was spent more on the OC role.

It depends on JRM's medical exam IMO. I've seen him ranked pre-combine at #13 as an inside guy, which doesn't make sense to me. He has played inside, which makes him versatile, but he looks more like an outside and edge guy to me. He's one that the combine will help his status. Still think he goes #4-5 unless he really does well this week.

Have no idea on the 40 times, but Kamara weighing in at 214 lbs. is huge for his chances of going in the first round.

And yes - let's talk about other stuff. If we stay on football we can forget the mockery of UT politics.

He wanted zero wasted movement with is fine. But his WRs didn't stem routes well at all. Their routes looked so easy to cover and it was easy to see with their lack of separation on most plays. Malone stemmed well but the others not at all. Which is a major problem for me. Watch the Clemson or Alabama WRs run routes. They set up guys with false steps throughout the route and use their hands very well to gain separation.

Yeah, I was just talking about the stance really. Our WR's were not getting as much separation from the opponent DB's as they should have. Got any thoughts on the Beard hire? Guy has energy out the wahzoo. Hopefully he will be a good one.

My opinion...for what it's worth...These two statements combined, really kind of work together to make the point about Azzani. Maybe he did KNOW what needed to be done. Maybe some of the players got it (ie...Malone). The problem as I see it, and the reason why people think he sucked as a WR coach (and according to some, why some of his receivers didn't like him) may very well be that he didn't know how to paint the picture...or sell the vision, if you will.

First clip I watched of Beard....you see what was known here as the "crouching tiger". The most important thing Beard does in that video is sell his vision. He watches what they are doing. He corrects their stance to said crouching stance. He shows them the stance he wants. Then he explains to them and shows them why. It saves movement, which increases reaction time coming off the snap. He demonstrates both stances and the WR's can see the difference.

Every WR lined up and did it the way he explained...the first time.

It's a very good possibility this is the case. But, since I have no idea and am just speculating I can't say for sure. However, I do wish CZA luck on his future endeavors. Listened to his 10 minute talk on Ainge's show the day after he got the job and he sounded like a really cool guy. Hope he does well.

I checked. You're wrong.

I checked to. He never finished better than 6-4 over his last 10 games in his last 7 years at Texas. 5-5 most years

His team falters at the end because they hate his ass.

Check your stats my friend

You just took stats and passed them off as facts. Which they are. Then you casually interject a wild baseless opinion you formed, not based on facts, and attach it to the stats like it is also fact. Lol, riiiight!

The facts are his teams play poorly at the end of years and the wins and losses prove it

My opinion is it's because his players hate his ass and don't want to play for him.

Too many transfers says "no, not the same level of loyalty" to me. Some will be loyal and love Butch, but he obviously has rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.
