I kind of feel like Ferguson beats Khabib. I think he's a bad matchup for Khabib. His length and jiu jitsu will be good counters to Khabib's strengths.

I've thought this too. His wrestling isn't as good as Khabib's, but it's good enough to give him enough opportunities on the feet where he's far better than Khabib IMO.

I just don't know He is 24-0 and never lost a round. I hope Khabib wins, cause I want to see him destroy mcgreggor

24-0 makes him sound unbeatable, but he's only fought 7 guys I've heard of and only 2 of those guys are great wins.

I've seen a lot more of Tony and just feel like he's a more proven commodity (12 UFC fights, 4 very good opponents). Khabib could very well man-handle him tho, I just need to see it.

Wanting to see Khabib and Wonderboy win.

A Khabib/Conor matchup would be insane and Wonderboy is a hometown guy, and him winning a UFC belt would be awesome for the community.

I'm just wanting one of them to beat Conor. I think if Khabib can get ahold of Conor with enough time, one takedown may be all he needs to finish it. He's that good on the ground. Every second he stands with Conor is bad for him though. I think Tony matches up much better with Conor on the feet.

I don't care if Conor wins or loses. I just want to see it. If he can beat Khabib and Ferguson then he is the legend he claims to be, which would be awesome. I don't care if you like him or not, you'd have to appreciate that.

Either, or.

I hate him, but would appreciate the accomplishment

Defending his belt once would make him a legend? You have some low standards for legend status. Defending 145 at least once, then defending against Khabib/Tony, then beating the other one would help validate that claim. Defending one belt once does not.

I don't think summing up his entire career as "one title defense" would be accurate.

He's probably already a legend because of the unprecedented interest he has brought to the sport.

Just seems like people have some low expectations for someone calling themselves an all time great. Cool he had 2 belts, he hasn't/didn't defend either. Defend it a couple times and we can talk.

I believe he is one of only two fighters that has held 2 belts, right (Couture)?

That alone gives him unique status.

He also knocked out the world's #1 lb for lb in 13" after talking the most noise ever for 2 years.

Ferguson and Khabib are both very formidable opponents. If he can beat both (which would make 2 title defenses :)), that's a pretty freaking great resume.

Conor is a god but I think he would lose to Khabib. It'll be interesting to see who can stick to their gameplan

BJ did too, not at the same time. I don't put as much stock into the 2 belts thing. He didn't defend 145 at all, and had to drop the belt. Aldo (13 seconds was impressive but who knows how a second fight goes) or Frankie or Holloway would have been good fights. He jumps up and gets smashed by Nick then wins a close fight. Nick is solid but by no means a great 170er. Then beats Eddie (good win) and now will get one of the top 2 guys eliminated by fighting each other. Don't get me wrong CMG is a great fighter, but right now the sideshow is making his "legend" greater than it actually is.

Also I don't give any ****s about the popularity, that doesn't make you a fight legend. Being a champ and clearing a division like Jones, Silva, and GSP did makes you a legend.

He definitely took some shortcuts to get where he is because of Dana's favoritism and that's why I want him to prove himself against those two lightweights who are both unlike anybody he has fought. Ferguson is somewhat similar to Diaz, except he is a muay thai guy.

If Conor did beat both guys then legend status kicks in. Lose to both guys and maybe he's just the Mike Tyson of MMA.

I agree with this 100%

Mother******! Khabib pulled out. Just say **** it and make Ferguson VS Conor. If Khabib wants a title shot he can show up to more than two fights in a row.

3rd time he's had to back out of a match with TF. Apparently, TF called it and taunted Khabib's team about the weight cut.
