The announcement on UT Sports has me excited for the hire. Sounds like he did a great job at K State. Everything we loved about Blackburn seems to be present with this guy

Yeah, I don't know why anyone thinks hiring Kiffin as a head coach is a good thing. He has only been fired at every place he's landed in that position.

I wouldn't be proud of that on my resume.

Except, you know, the University of Tennessee.

What supports the Title IX/Feminist narrative though? That's where I get lost.

Other than rampant speculation and a half-a$$ game of connect the dots, what else is there?

Please point me in the direction of actual information. If its there, I will gladly consider it but up until now I haven't seen a thing other than whispers, insinuations, and speculation.

Because that's the only way a woman could possibly get the top job at UT. Duh.

I was so excited to see this morning that 247 was having a tough go of it in Knoxville. Finally some news to talk about that could be discussed by fans and we could sit back and watch someone other than our own university being dysfunctional.

That lasted like 20 minutes.

Sounds like he's one of the best in the country from a fund raising and facilities standpoint. Just hope he's not too much of a micro manager and a bean counter like many are saying.

If building buildings we don't need and selling bottled water is what you want then it's likely we have the right guy.

Did someone say bean counter?

Volnation never disappoints. You can set your watch by it. Model of consistency. I find it strange because I know the majority of sports fans are men. But the overreacting dramatic fits thrown by posters certainly reminds me much more of women.

People crying like a girl...
#1) don't even know the actual job done by an AD.
#2) have no collection of facts/evidence that logically leads to Currie being a bad AD, or Blackburn being a better AD.

They are nothing more than my toddler throwing an EMOTIONAL temper tantrum because they didn't get what they wanted. And more importantly, they actually thought they had enough information about the situation to KNOW who would be the best AD.

I'm gonna need a Title IX investigation up in here.

Sounds like VolTwitter right now.

That bunch has absolutely lost their minds. Cancelling donations, Knoxville is Burning memes, fanbase being raped, etc, etc.

Context. At the point they did so, he was a hot up and coming NFL coach. Many considered it to be a good thing at the time.

Not disagreeing with that. Just that this thing took a 180 turn.

Frontrunner DB doesn't get a sniff.

New frontrunner candidate Fulmer starts getting some traction then we end up hiring the guy who fired Fulmer.

It has been a circus since July. How we got here is what is so embarrassing. You can drink the bathwater if you want. I'm not on this one.

He was a frontrunner in the fanbase and media's imagination. The hiring process started 2 weeks ago and he never was the frontrunner.

Look, I would have liked DB here too, but we asked for a UT guy and got one. Now we still meltdown.

It is very caustic on there. I preferred Blackburn but some of those people are taking huge, ugly shots at our chancellor and those are uncalled for and make us look like a bunch of idiots.

So if the UT football coaching staff was average, the grade of a C, last year.

How would you rank the average just by comparing them to last year's staff before they even coach a game/season together?

B?
B+?

What's your thoughts?

Nothing new. They think they're helping. I mean have you seen the FF
