IMG must be heading up to Knoxville this week.

Several Vols targets from IMG Academy have confirmed that they plan to visit Tennessee on Friday, including five-star defensive end Xavier Thomas — the nation’s No. 2 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite for the 2018 class — and five-star defensive tackle Taron Vincent, the nation’s No. 1 defensive tackle.

Tennessee has extended scholarship offers to 11 players from IMG Academy in the 2018 class, and the majority of them — if not all of them — are expected to be in Knoxville on Friday.

Top-100 wide receiver Joshua Moore, top-100 running back T.J. Pledger, top-100 cornerback Brendan Radley-Hiles, top-100 wide receiver Brian Hightower, four-star offensive guard Curtis Dunlap and top-100 cornerback Houston Griffith are among the other Vols targets from IMG who have told GoVols247 that they expect to visit Tennessee this week.

Don't hate the hire. He at least has Tennessee ties. Blackburn was the most obvious candidate though. Hopefully this doesn't come back and bite us in the @$$

Looks like a great hire to me, TN ties, young and has done well in Manhattan. Whats the problem? Far more qualified than Blackburn.

Everyone gives Jimmy crap for being late, but how interesting that the guy who takes his time and waits for reliable sources before reporting stuff ends up getting the best information.

Not saying Jimmy is batting 1,000, because he's had some miscues in the past, but I don't think he's ever jumped the gun like many other reporters and Vols-centric outlets have in recent years.

(now watch Currie publicly deny his hiring and ultimately remain at K-State)

I know you're a big fan of Blackburn, but don't you think you're being a little quick to judge? Saying this is a joke is a bit rash.

Off the bat, as far as I'm concerned, we could have done a lot worse. At least this guy has experience and has also done time serving in UT's AD.

This better be a great hire, if not, Mrs. Chancellor will be replaced sooner than she'd like to. However, I'm willing to give this dude a chance

I read some stuff on him the other day that kinda soured me on him. I'll try to catch my breath and see if I can find a silver lining in this.

K state fans I know saying he only cares about programs being clean, not at all about winning. they're happy to see him gone and feel like he hamstrung his coaches just to make sure they didn't come close to committing violations.
