I dabble in electrical engineering some. Mostly build switches for training IEDs. Everything from bare bones biscuit boards on up. The theory portion of it makes my brain bleed. XNOR and NAND circuits?!? The blood starts dripping out of my ears. Gimme a diagram and I'll build it.

There's nothing in biker's post that's so highfalutin as you're proposing.

Are some of the running beefs on here silly? Sure but that's gonna happen in online forums where people troll one another. However, blaming one over the other for a particular back and forth is pretty silly too.

I don't trust the powers that be to hire someone like that no matter how qualified the candidate may seem. They want someone they can control. Not someone who wants to win.

That's why I say we need someone who loves this university and would kill themselves working to make us the best we could possibly be. We need a Vol.

So in other words, if we had a normal and functioning athletic department I would agree with you. But we don't. And we hire people like this Cincinnati lady who don't understand the culture and will screw it up if given the chance.

I guess I'm in the wrong place if I'm trying to read up on Vol stuff.

Huh? I didn't call anyone a twit. I'm saying beefs are gonna happen online and it's silly to blame one over the other. As for reading up on Vol stuff, you'll find more here than not but it's not as though online forums stay constantly on topic. Part of what makes this place fun is the side discussions.

EDIT: I misread you at first regarding the twit thing. However, you spent the majority of that post talking about biker's post and expressing a great deal of outrage towards it which is why it sounds like you're blaming one over the other.

The education portion was a whole lot worse than reality for me.

I try not to get so caught up in sounding smart to my students. I try to "dumb it down", for lack of better words, so they can actually understand it, instead of trying to cram a bunch of big words in their heads that just adds to the confusion.

Not a lot of Vol stuff to talk about right now. AD search has been and still is being discussed ad nauseum. Recruiting is still in its infancy for the new year. Coaching positions have mostly been filled. The one main one that hasn't seems to be close to being. Spring practice hasn't started yet.

What would you like to discuss? If you come over here enough then you already know, as soon as a good subject of conversation comes up...or new information comes out on anything football related...we instantly change gears.

Until those things happen though...we enjoy ourselves in our own special way...and ain't nobody safe. :hi:
