Some really good you tube coaching links posted on Beard from his time at Miami in his FF thread.

The undersell of Blackburn being the guy by some is annoying. He worked in UT's AD for 20 years before going to UTC. He was the #2 guy (Senior Associate AD) for 5 years before he left along with asst. AD over funding previous to that. He ran football operations under Fulmer going back to 1993. He worked under Majors a couple of years. His experience cannot be duplicated by any outsider because he has direct experience in the system.

Some message to grads of UT. You can go to school here and/or work here and even be successful; but you will never get the top job in your line of work even if you prove yourself here or somewhere else because you can't be as good as somebody that's never worked here.

This is the thing I think escapes people's minds. He has been groomed for this job and then went to UTC and proved he can be successful.

Been away, what's going on with the OM NCAA? I saw that they're only getting a 1 year bowl ban?

That's what they self imposed.

They claim they're going to fight some of the more serious charges.

I imagine they're just waiting for the bus to get closer before they push Freeze in front of it.

Agree. The problem with UT has been from the Chancellor up the ladder. They frequently make really dumb decisions, then wonder why things stay messed up.

Needs total regime change and I realize I am not giving Bev a chance. Who hired her? The same people that keep making the dumb decisions.

Up to 21 allegations now including lack of institutional control and violation of responsibility for Freeze (both Level 1).

This is getting good

Trying to get my life back on track, today has been a busy day of phone calls back and forth to work making sure things are in order. Double checking and making sure bills are in order/paid and trying to catch up on VN. I just completed the most important task of the day though and you my VN family will be thankful that I did.....

As you are all aware (ad nauseam) my oldest son and I are both Marines. Retired and Medically Retired. I had thought my family was done serving for a while. I was mistaken. My 6 year old informed me of a daunting task that required completion prior to his return from school.

I have just spent the last couple of hours repairing/rebuilding and bolstering the defenses of a 5 1/2 ft long X 3 ft wide X 3 1/2 ft high cardboard spaceship. I know...I know...I was nervous too. Once I found out why, it put a lot of pressure on me to ensure I did the job to the best of my abilities (which I was not sure I would be able to accomplish in my current state).

I was informed this morning by my 6 year old (he wanted to let me rest last night before telling me) that he and my 1 1/2 year old have been using the spaceship to go into outer space and fight aliens. They were doing this to protect the world while I was in the hospital. The reason for the need for repairs (torn to shreds) was during all the fighting apparently the spaceship was hit and had to crashland.

So when you tuck yourselves in to bed tonight VN, do so with the full knowledge the the spaceship has been repaired and the newest generation of the Biker family is at the helm, keeping the world safe from aliens.

In the words of Lil Biker....."We got this dad".

"Fix the spaceship dad. You want me on that wall... You need me on that wall! I eat breakfast 200 parsecs away from 4 million aliens that are trained to kill me. I'm going back to my base!"

Any word on JJ's status? Edit: I mean speaking of the Florida Dogs, err I mean the Georgia Gators.
