Look at the last 2 years of my career instead of 11 passes in a game my freshman year, would be my guess.

He clearly was not ready.

I remember hearing conversation ab the two coaches let go after NSD.

Couldn't remember if it was Craig or Juluke(rb coach) the convo was about. One of the two could recruit well.. But could not game plan and was terrible on game days

Tennessee, BYU Announce Football Series - University of Tennessee Official Athletic Site

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The University of Tennessee football program announced Thursday the dates for a future home-and-home series with BYU. The two programs are set to meet in 2019 and 2023.

The first-ever game between the Vols and Cougars is slated for Sept. 7, 2019, at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville. That game rounds out UT's 2019 non-conference schedule, a slate that also includes home fixtures against Georgia State (Aug. 31), Chattanooga (Sept. 14) and UAB (Nov. 2).

The second game of the series is scheduled for either Sept. 1 or 2, 2023, at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah -- the first time Tennessee has ever appeared in the Beehive State.

The two schools have never met on the gridiron. BYU was founded in 1875 and began playing varsity football in 1922. The Cougars won a national championship in 1984, have played in 35 bowl games, won 23 conference titles as members of the Western Athletic and Mountain West Conferences and have had 13 Consensus All-Americans.

The BYU football program began competing as an independent in 2011.

Over the past 30 seasons (1987-2016) BYU and Tennessee have each won 254 games, tied with Clemson for ninth among all FBS teams.

He is considered to be a top candidate, but most will not have heard of him. Good thing is that he is considered a good teacher of the game as well as a good recruiter. I still think CBJ goes with someone he knows and trusts.

Craig is a pipedream but would be a slam dunk. Top 8 recruiter in 2012, 2014, 2016... I think he would give us, on paper, a top 8-10 coaching staff and give us the most starpower on staff since kiffins one and done year.

It has always been interesting to me to see Fulmer's name shoot to the top when he has almost no experience compared to the other candidates resumes... He is there on emotion and history alone. I understand he played and coached here, and understands what goes on, but he hasn't coached or been a part of AD type situations/business in a long time. As much as I would love to have him, knowing he would take care of the football program and fight for all of our athletic departments, I just don't see it. Blackburn should be THE guy, with ties to the school and the resume. The home run would be to hire Blackburn and make Fulmer his assistant, carving out a few specific duties for him and he'd thrive. BUT.... this is UT and we seem to always 'ish the bed on stuff like this when the obvious solution is right in front of folks, so who knows.

Agree.... this is the type of hire Butch needs to make happen to spark some excitement back into the program and recruiting that we desperately need. BUT...

True, cant deny that. Im just star gazing mainly i guess. Seeing that he landed 6 in 2016 with an average of over 91 on 247 and 9 with a similar average in 2014 just gave me the warm fuzzies. Havent been super impressed with our WR recruits the past two years, not much star power or production outside of Byrd and Callaway so far.

Depends on who you ask. I have seen one site say Coach O can be paranoid and wants his own guys but would think you make an exception for an elite recruiter like him. He might not have been getting along with Canada. Players and recruits loved him though as a few WRs were vocal about their displeasure saying he was one of best coaches and t was stupid move. I'm sure O made them run till they puked for those comments

Or maybe he is there because the BOT thinks that he can do a good job and we all know he loves the University of Tennessee. I agree that he has no experience in running an AD, but he is smart enough to know he would need good people around him to help with his learning curve. I agree that Blackburn should be obvious, but if it cannot be him, I would be ok with CPF.

Some Mattie Lou Chandler with Outkick( Clay Travis website) says she has various sources claiming Nkemdiche family received over $250k over the years. And the hits keep coming.... Lol

Wow.

Now all of the dirty laundry will be coming out. Its about to be a real dark time for Ole Miss football and especially Freeze. He looked like a defeated man in that YouTube video Ole Miss put out. Did it to himself though.
