It can be dumb/annoying (I hate the 140-limitation) but as far as a tool for knowing what's happening right now, there's never been anything like it.

The most likely damning scenario (if there is one) is Trump has financial ties to the Russian mafia.

I can't figure out why he would do so, though.

The way I see it, there are three camps on this issue:

1. Kremlingate is real and needs investigating.
2. This is all just a Hillary, Obama, Democrat, liberal conspiracy against Trump.
3. He's probably shady, but nothing really to see here.

My good friend, Orange, admitted that he falls into Camp 2. Like him, I imagine you want "concrete proof."

But I ask you or anyone else in Camp 2, what "concrete proof" do you have that it's a liberal conspiracy?

I know I'm going way, way, way out on a limb. But I imagine I have a bit more of what may qualify as "concrete proof," than what Camp 2 does for its theories.

I'm not a member of camp 2, from the perspective that I'm not claiming it's a global conspiracy--just that I suspect it is. That distinction, and the fact that I'm not peppering VN with my suspicions incessantly, is a major difference between you and I.

In other words, I said what I suspect and left it at that. You are claiming evidence that doesn't exist, and every two minutes another shoe has dropped.

See the difference? Or no?

Why can't it be a mix of all 3? It is being investigated, Dems are amping this up for all it's worth to gain political advantage and in the end there probably ain't much to it.

Because, it seems to me that you're just saying "nothing to see here."

I'm not saying nothing to see here - it's worthy of investigation and said investigation is occurring. At this point the collusion between Team Trump and Team Putin is not at all established.

As for Hillary I believe she intentionally ran her own server to hide her co-mingling of State and CF business. The recovered emails and other evidence shows such co-mingling occurred at least to some extent. The fact her doing so put state security at risk is also troublesome. To date I haven't seen evidence that her emails were indeed hacked but most intelligence officials indicate they'd be surprised if they were not.

These are 2 separate issues. I'm fine with investigating if Trump was in cahoots with Russia but I'm pretty skeptical that he was.

The Russian Mob is nothing but a bunch of former KGB agents who lost their jobs after the wall fell. Some if not most have connections to Putin and are still faithful to the motherland.

I'm talking about the mob in NYC & Chi. You know, like the Sopranos. They run labor unions & sanitation services in NYC. So if you want a building built or the trash removed from your building, you have to deal with them.

You couldn't be anymore wrong. I actually do know a guy that has had extensive dealings with the Russian mafia. Now that being said, yes I'm quite positive that there are some former KGB guys who work for the mafia but they don't run it.
