TrumPutinGate

I refuse to do that.

At the very least, can you point to any media stories from the 80s that discusses Trump's visits to Moscow? Can you point to any actual stories pre-and-post that show a marked change in trump's stance on Reagan and NATO?

Anything of substance that would tie an anti-reagan and anti-NATO sentiment to him being a Russian operative? I mean, I'm anti-NATO and I'm not a Russian operative. I'm anti-Obama and I'm not a Russian operative.

Is it just NATO that makes one a Russian operative? I'm also anti-EU, and anti-global bankers. Is that incriminating as well?

And is it just Reagan, or any President? Because if it's any president, guess what! You're a Russian operative!

The Russian Mob claim is a big deal, and I would think most fair and balanced people would ask for something beyond "Claims". if you were being accused, I'm sure you'd want people to demand actual evidence, right?

You seriously don't see how many holes begin appearing when you look at this without your anti-trump bias? You still can't understand someone demanding a bit more on the innocent-until-proven scale?

Think of it this way... You are on trial in a courtroom. We're the jury. How do you want us to treat your case?

Austria grants US request to extradite Ukrainian mogul Dmytro Firtash.

Indeed, Air. Indeed.

A man who most likely has the goods on Manafort, Putin, and Trump.

Will be interesting to see what Sessions does.

Also, if I were Firtash, I would be scared crapless right now. Men like him have a very short live expectancy once they reach predicaments like this.

He will have security I'm sure. Whether he talks, we may never know what he says. Lots of politians could have their careers on the line, so more than likely nothing will come of this.

Yes, and that scares me. It also scares me that there's a possibility that the FBI New York field office (and even the NYPD) are penetrated enough by Russian moles that nothing may come of this.

Fortunately, I think there are enough in the IC collectively who will not allow corrupt politicians or a potentially compromised FBI field office to put the wraps on this. Same thing happened, at least partially, with Comey's 11th hour announcement concerning Hillary. Whatever the cause, that wasn't an accident.

The IC will not sit back and watch Congress let Trump and his gang of criminals slide. But let's just hope Congress actually does its job, and the IC doesn't have to do its job for it.

VP, even if this whole Russia connection is legit, what do you think Congress will do? If they really find something and remove him from power do you not think this country will move closer to a civil war type scenario?

It will not be pretty no matter what, which is why I thought he never should have been allowed to be inaugurated.

Mass civil unrest will occur nonetheless, but, had it been before inauguration, at least we would not have risked military involvement, most likely. This, however, could end up bringing in the military in some shape or form. Let's hope not.

What's your Twitter?

I don't have a Twitter; I just follow the feeds through my computer.

I used to think it ridiculous, but I have found over the past year or so that it is a truly useful tool for quick access to diverse and apt news links when used appropriately.

I still don't have use for a personal one, however, as I see no reason.

Get in the game! Set up a feed in TweetDeck (or equivalent) and the news comes streaming in. I'd say I learn about most stuff quicker now than your average TV station did 10 years ago.

Didn't see your edit until now.

Yes, it's true. I used to think Twitter some sort of nonsense (and I still think it a net-negative for society), but, when used appropriately (especially by intelligent people), it can be an absolutely invaluable tool.

You're right. I learn stuff now much sooner than what our conventional media reports. Of course, the risk is that we may fall prey to misleading articles and news, but, overall, I find that I learn things at least a day or two in advance now as opposed to when I was doing only conventional media.
