My mistake. Thought you were saying that Barnes is doing no better than Smart. Insult retracted.

Though, I would have gone with trajectory. Barnes took over a .500 team and is trending up, while Smart took over a .700 team and now has them well below .500.

That's what I was going for...minus the. ".500 team" part. I don't think that's what he inherited from Tyndall.

True. We're in agreement. I just think it's more telling to say Barnes is 15-12 in year 2 with what he 'didn't inherit' versus Smart at 10-17 after inheriting a solid team from an established program. The 30-30 records' comparison don't give Barnes his due credit, IMO. But I'm on the same page now.

We are in agreement. Saw the respective two year records and automatically thought of the Longhorn board I frequented during a month long vacation. Lot of parting hate towards Barnes and cartoon hearts over their noggins after finally getting a "legitimate coach" in Smart. When I identified myself as a Vols fan and thanked them for firing a future HOF coach who has established honorable winning programs at several stops, they unleashed their scorn on Uncle butchna...and that kept me happy for the remainder of that vacation...tho I detest confrontation.
