I think the difference is that recruiting forum threads often last for several years and meaningless threads that really serve no purpose except to allow a poster to rant on the same topic for the 300th time make following these, um, meaningful threads difficult. Football forum folks seem to have shorter attention spans, so drive-by posts that carry no value or information make more sense there.

And you can post a pole if you like, but a poll would be more effective.

I agree. Nothing but a bunch of show pony gunners showing off while the real men do the work.

Hey butchna have you tried the lonesome dove in ft worth? Just ate at the one here last night, the buffalo ribeye was scrumptious. The rabbit and rattlesnake sausage is also delish.

Always on my list but haven't yet. Next time we go to the Stockyards I'm pushing for it. It's on a lot of Food Network shows favorite lists.
