Flynn Resigns Amid Russia Controversy

Kind of like you miss the truth about Iraq having WMD? Yeah those were the good old days. At least we were not in bed with a foreign nation.

.....but but but Obama. Lol

A) 0bama had 8 years to clean up the IC and did nothing.
B) the CF took hundreds of millions from all types of shady foreign leaders
C) we gave Iran billions and got nothing in return. For what?
D) that same IC that told us Iraq has WMD is now saying Trump likes to get pee'd on. Whatever you say guys

I agree. But we're talking about An environment where somebody leaked the contents of a phone call with the Australian Prime Minister.

Are our intelligence communities spying on the President's phone calls and releasing the contents to the press to embarrass him?

Something very bad is going on.

Everyone with common sense saw this coming the moment Trump decided he wanted to wage a war with the IC in public and on twitter.

Really? Schumer says it was going to happen. You think the IC should be EXPECTED to focus its efforts on bickering and retalaiation with a sitting president?

Is it DOJ or intelligence services? Could there be incriminating stuff, that the leakers don't want to disclose for a number of national security reasons, but felt leaking the meta data was an option that accomplished the same goal without unwarranted risk? There is a lot of gray area I think.

Regardless, it makes Trump look bad as well.

It wasn't just meta data that was leaked.

Actually it makes them look like professionals. For all the boasting and bragging he did.....the disrespect he showed them. They are feeding him some humble pie. You don't disrespect an entire organization and expect them to protect you.

I also don't expect them to break the law.

The contents of those calls were leaked from inside the Australian Prime Minister's office.

The billions that "we" gave Iran was Iran's money that "we" gave back to them. I am not sure we were supposed to get anything for giving them their money back. Does your bank give you anything when you withdraw your money?

Contrary to your beliefs, there were WMDs found in Iraq after we invaded.

Proof. Show your work, thank you in advance.

From 2005 through 2006 military intelligence discovered that the weapons—many in poor condition, some empty or containing nonlethal liquid, but others containing sarin with unexpectedly high purity—were in the possession of one Iraqi individual

I will help you out. Nothing to warrant invading a country, and certainly not enough to produce mushroom clouds. Timothy McVeigh had more on his Ryder truck.

Agree...I think the media and intelligence agencies are in cahoots to destroy him..

The media gave him a pass for 2 years. However Donald is doing a great job of destroying himself.

I don't think he's totally innocent either...

What's alarming to me is the switcheroo stance on Russia in general, Crimea in particular. The whole campaign was about working with Russia/Putin and now he's demanding they give back the Crimea?

That's like Russia demanding we give back Alaska...ain't happening!

there appear to be different ideologies within the entire administration. Who is in charge? Who sets the agenda? There appears to be a lot of cooks in the kitchen.

The President of the United States called the IC un-American and equated them to Nazis all because he refused to believe that Russia hacked the DNC.

So I guess this is your thought process.

IC leaking Trump's clandestine Russia contacts = Very Bad

GRU stealing DNC emails and leaking them via Wikileaks = Very Good

The intelligence services aren't the problem. The President of the United States surrounding himself with people who are financially and ideology connected to a foreign government is.

You literally repeated the talking points that are coming out of the Kremlin.

The United States bought Alaska from Russia. The Russians took Crimea.

Crimea historically was theirs, and they were afraid they were going to lose it due to a NATO-backed coup. It was part of Ukraine officially but the Russians have their Black Sea Fleet there and other military installations. The United States would have done the exact same thing in that situation.

The United States can't really lecture Putin and Russia about much of anything, particularly after what we did in Iraq. That was a military adventure that the United States would have absolutely had a conniption fit about if Russia, China, or another adversary did something similar.
