I think Fulmer will do well if he is our AD. I also think that Blackburn would be an absolute home run and would do better.

Here's the three things I want in our next AD in order....

1. Genuinely wants to WIN at UT. Someone who puts winning first and everything else is secondary.

2. Someone who is capable

3. Someone who is qualified

Blackburn meets all 3 criteria. Fulmer meets the first one and possibly the second.

I don't think Fulmer would be a bad AD. Just kinda OK. Blackburn is obviously a better choice but we could do much worse. A lot of great ADs were former head coaches. If Fulmer is to be named, in order to be successful, his no. 2 would have to excel at the business side. Likewise, for Blackburn he needs a strong no. 2 to be a great AD. Someone who is intimately familiar with football operations. JMO

I would hire David and tell Phil to kick rocks if Phil is saying he only would be AD. David doesn't need Phil to be successful but Phil would need tons of help.

@patrickbrownTFP: Six Vols are heading to the NFL combine later this month: Barnett, Kamara, Sutton, Malone, Dobbs and Reeves-Maybin.

Does anyone know why Rockytop Insider is only doing monday afternoon podcasts instead of being on 1180 monday through friday?

JMO, an OP doesn't need to have "decommitment " in the thread title, if it's the first post in the thread.

That is better used to show a change in status for a player who the forum has been following for awhile, not someone no one has heard of before

I know Tony won't change, but I've said my peas

If you're talking about the guy who has a magic machine that produces IMG commitments for Tennessee, then "yes." He is who we thought he was

I was thinking there was something on his resume other than "coached Cam Newton for a while" and "has IMG connections". But it wouldn't be Vol Nation if there wasn't sorrow and gnashing of teeth over who isn't hired at Tennessee.

You need to mind your peace and queues, Mister.

I speak fluent Officer. They like their flowery words. As a rule of thumb, I insult everyone even when I compliment them.

Howdy SargeantVol,
Just got back from a Boy Scout campout at Fort Hood.
Was a phenomenal experience for the Scouts and us Dads.
Great group of soldiers took time to teach us. Took us to a laser simulation gun range. Really liked that the weapons had to be loaded each time you finished a clip. Shocked some of the video game heroes... :)
Each division had it's own museum. Was truly awe inspiring.

Thank you for your sevice. That goes to all of our service men and women, regardless of branch.

Real Heroes wear dog tags. Without the Brave, we would not be free. :salute:

Wow. How did I miss the Senior NCO/Officer conversation? Never mind I know how. I've been laid up for the last four days with the gut rot that's going around.
