Seriously, stop tweeting players

There's a difference between embracing social media and acting weird. The people they lack self awareness on social media also acted weird when all we had were rotary telephones.

Definitely what you actually tweet is pretty important. Have some dignity eh?

Brady is a great player. But, I like how all of the arguments on his side come from TEAM accomplishments. He had a greater CAREER than Peyton because of those team accomplishments. But, they don't necessarily make him a greater QB.

Peyton took four different coaches to the Super Bowl, only one of which was worth a d@mn. That says more to me than a QB who went to more playing for the greatest HC of all time.

Just my opinion.

So brady is diminished Bc it's a TEAM effort but manning did his alone??
Got it

Sigh.

No, not always. These players have public profiles and are actively tweeting about common interests (football/Tennessee football in particular); why is it "ignorant" to engage in discourse after someone else has brought up the topic? Do you even understand how Twitter works?

"Not even close?" Really? Why, because he has more rings? Robert Horry has more rings than Jordan and Lebron... is he a better player? No, that's what I thought.

The previous statement isn't a "fact;" you're not doing too hot with definitions here, Wylo.

I'm inclined to agree with this, but these players shouldn't have public Twitter accounts if they can't take the heat. If you're going to put yourself in the relative limelight by playing for a team with such a large fanbase and then opt against making your account private, you need to accept that you're going to have people take issue with what you say/your performance on Twitter.

Robert Horry was n3ver a franchise player
Just reaching now

Having an opinion ≠ tweeting that opinion.

Given who he is I'd love for you to argue how him tweeting that out did him any good?

How does it do any good for a grown man to berate a kid for not liking the same player as much as them? What does his opinion on Tom Brady have to do with how good a QB he is?

If you are so emotionally fragile that something like that gets you angry, then maybe you need to re-examine your life.

Lol grown men berating a kid because he doesn't like their favorite player quite as much as they do.

The definition of pathetic. Grow up.

Only young MEN who play college football are awarded "kid" status as 20 year olds.

For the record I agree, being mad he has a favorite player not from UT is stupid. The Internet is a cruel world, but he is GROWN, so I'm sure he can handle it.

it's the notion that he deserves the berating for sharing an opinion. it's just dumb. you'll never convince me that it's ok to do this, or warranted because he shared a thought that goes against the grain of what many ut faithful feel.

it's one thing to have a conversation about why you think brady or manning is better. it's another when people start saying we should start dormady or revoke scholarships or question their allegiances etc....

it's dumb. and sad.

Lol. I can tell from your posts on the Internet that you are emotionally fragile and angry. You also don't have the same opinion as mine, therefore you need to re-examine your life.

Peyton Manning is the definition of how people should carry themselves, but also the most overrated qb of all time. Tee Martin accomplished more at Tennessee in 1 year than Peyton did in 4.

Tom Brady is the best Pro QB of all time. End of story.

PM = most overrated QB ever?

Nope. He won too many Super Bowls for that.

Never said he wasn't good, but he is overrated. Eli has as many super bowls as he does. Both were against the most dominant franchise we've seen since free agency.

Tee Martin accomplished more than Peyton Manning at the University of Tennessee.

I couldn't answer your first question as I have no perspective on it. I will say that JG had the right to tweet something dumb just as much as anyone responding had the right to tweet back. That's kind of how social media works. JG is no longer a kid, he's a public figure as the potential starting QB for the Vols.

Both sides involved are equally as dumb for saying anything. I'd place far more blame on Guarantano than anyone though. As a potential leader of the Tennessee Volunteers offensive line in 2017 you don't tweet some crap about Tom Brady being the "greatest" especially given the fact that he's been directly connected with cheating at least once. You're better off keeping your mouth shut and keeping an opinion like that to yourself.

See you on game day soon, Dormady! :good!:

He is a college student.

Did JG tweet something dumb? If so, why do you consider an opinion that differs from yours dumb?

The difference between Manning and Brady is that Manning made the players and coaches around him better and Brady's players and coaches made him better. GOAT? I don't know but, 5 SB rings don't tell the whole story.

So you are telling that Brady has played with better receivers than Manning, and Manning made the Broncos defense better at the Super Bowl in Denver? lol, you cant be serious.

Manning is properly rated....

As the second best QB of all-time

Sorry but I find it very creepy tweeting some 16-17 year old kid that you don't even know...If my boy grows up to be a great player I can promise you there will be no twitter account...That stuff is just weird to me...Also a good way to cost us recruits.

You may think its weird, as do i. But your children will have it or will hate you for not letting them have it. The best thing to do is teach the positives and negatives.

Overall yes. Better system by better coaches.
No he didn't make the Broncos defense better. No question he got a bit of a ride the last few weeks of his career. However, throughout his career, both in college and the pros, he made the players he worked with directly, better and many were more successful as a result. (probably too many commas)
If I was rebuilding a team, and needed a franchise QB to build around and could take either in each of their respective primes. It wouldn't take me one second to select Peyton.

Kids will wake up one day and hopefully some adults that no one really cares aboutt someone else's every little thought and opinion on every subject in life
