Brady is a great player. But, I like how all of the arguments on his side come from TEAM accomplishments. He had a greater CAREER than Peyton because of those team accomplishments. But, they don't necessarily make him a greater QB.
Peyton took four different coaches to the Super Bowl, only one of which was worth a d@mn. That says more to me than a QB who went to more playing for the greatest HC of all time.
Just my opinion.
Sigh.
No, not always. These players have public profiles and are actively tweeting about common interests (football/Tennessee football in particular); why is it "ignorant" to engage in discourse after someone else has brought up the topic? Do you even understand how Twitter works?
"Not even close?" Really? Why, because he has more rings? Robert Horry has more rings than Jordan and Lebron... is he a better player? No, that's what I thought.
The previous statement isn't a "fact;" you're not doing too hot with definitions here, Wylo.
I'm inclined to agree with this, but these players shouldn't have public Twitter accounts if they can't take the heat. If you're going to put yourself in the relative limelight by playing for a team with such a large fanbase and then opt against making your account private, you need to accept that you're going to have people take issue with what you say/your performance on Twitter.
Having an opinion ≠ tweeting that opinion.
Given who he is I'd love for you to argue how him tweeting that out did him any good?
Lol grown men berating a kid because he doesn't like their favorite player quite as much as they do.
The definition of pathetic. Grow up.
Peyton Manning is the definition of how people should carry themselves, but also the most overrated qb of all time. Tee Martin accomplished more at Tennessee in 1 year than Peyton did in 4.
Tom Brady is the best Pro QB of all time. End of story.
PM = most overrated QB ever?
Nope. He won too many Super Bowls for that.
How does it do any good for a grown man to berate a kid for not liking the same player as much as them? What does his opinion on Tom Brady have to do with how good a QB he is?
If you are so emotionally fragile that something like that gets you angry, then maybe you need to re-examine your life.
Both sides involved are equally as dumb for saying anything. I'd place far more blame on Guarantano than anyone though. As a potential leader of the Tennessee Volunteers offensive line in 2017 you don't tweet some crap about Tom Brady being the "greatest" especially given the fact that he's been directly connected with cheating at least once. You're better off keeping your mouth shut and keeping an opinion like that to yourself.
See you on game day soon, Dormady! :good!:
I couldn't answer your first question as I have no perspective on it. I will say that JG had the right to tweet something dumb just as much as anyone responding had the right to tweet back. That's kind of how social media works. JG is no longer a kid, he's a public figure as the potential starting QB for the Vols.
The difference between Manning and Brady is that Manning made the players and coaches around him better and Brady's players and coaches made him better. GOAT? I don't know but, 5 SB rings don't tell the whole story.

Sorry but I find it very creepy tweeting some 16-17 year old kid that you don't even know...If my boy grows up to be a great player I can promise you there will be no twitter account...That stuff is just weird to me...Also a good way to cost us recruits.
So you are telling that Brady has played with better receivers than Manning, and Manning made the Broncos defense better at the Super Bowl in Denver? lol, you cant be serious.
