In our survey, carried out before President Trump’s executive order was announced, respondents were given the following statement: ‘All further migration from mainly Muslim countries should be stopped’. They were then asked to what extent did they agree or disagree with this statement. Overall, across all 10 of the European countries an average of 55% agreed that all further migration from mainly Muslim countries should be stopped, 25% neither agreed nor disagreed and 20% disagreed

I understand that Trump won't do that because it would be admitting a mistake and his ego and stubbornness won't allow for that but it looks like this could be remedied without a prolonged battle and Supreme Court fight.

A far left court ruled against a republican president I'm sure he expected this result. Unhinged would be a sitting senator bashing another sitting senator on the senate floor

There are 3 judges on the 9th and one is a Bush appointee. The ruling was 3-0. Trump's EO has been ruled against by District Court judge (appointed by Bush 43); Appeals Court: (Carter, Bush 43, Obama): 2 Dems, 2 GOPs

This POS judge is from San Fran, a sanctuary city. If he did rule in favor, he'd have death threats and his house would be torched tonight.

In addition can Trump make all new refugees be sent to California?

On a side note seeing response to his tweet and with how the twitter attacks go anybody wanting to be a smartazz to him ahould really watch what they say to him. Not because he's Trump but the POTUS.

When it goes to the supreme court there is a chance it will end up in a 4-4 tie. Gorsuch will most likely have to recused himself.

Why don't most people see the courts for what they are? They are just a bunch of political hacks with robes.....both sides. They are way too powerful when they set immigration policy.

I heard it said that a 4-4 tie would reinstate the order. Perhaps someone with a legal background can clarify that. I still think that the best course of action for Trump would be to withdraw this order and draft a new one that is more carefully crafted. Americans clearly do want restrictions on immigration. The problem here was the sloppiness of the order itself.

The EO as written is unconstitutional. Now Trump should be able to get it through, if he changes the wording that doesn't include people with visas etc. already then I think it will be no problem.

They are not setting immigration policy. They simply ruled on the legality of a hastily written order. Our system of checks and balances works pretty well... We'll see how this plays out but Trump deserves blame for this situation.

He has tested the waters and seen the legal response. Redraft it and use the libtards own rulings against them.

But I would just restrict it to an immigration ban, across the board, for 120 days. The travel ban is necessary but he could just put in some actions to make it more difficult for the followers of terrorism to enter the country.

It was ruled on the way it was ruled on based strictly upon where it was ruled on. Political hacks with robes, one and all.
