There's lots of reasons to feel good about next season.

I really like that our coaches seem to have entered a "prove it" year.

I really like the new coaching additions of the last 2 offseasons because we should have better teaching coaches and we should also have much better recruiting coaches which should bode very well for the long term of our program.

1 of the things I see and really like with the new coaching additions are a very serious mindset towards serious discipline and attention to fundamentals.

I was disappointed in team discipline and too many flags and too many guys out of place too often especially as our injuries mounted up more and more.

More discipline and attention to detail will improve us.

So many young guys getting solid real game knowledge and experience will help us as well and they have loads of real game tape to study and improve from.

I like the knowledge and experience of our new coaching additions because in addition to adding better recruiting all that knowledge and experience should be a huge boost to breaking down tape and putting together a solid game plan throughout the season and making in game adjustments should improve as well.

I like the direction our program is now moving thanks to the coaching additions buTch has made.

I'll go along with the OP and have the O for optomistic.

So if he comes without the inherent character issues... do we refer to him as something a little more proper like Johnathan Football?

he spent the latter part of the year working with Drew Richmond specifically, and recruited. he was QC, he wasn't teaching, a la what Mahoney was supposed to be doing.

There won't be as much hype for Fall 2017 as there was for 2016. No Battle of Bristol, which was epic. GT game will set the tone. Lack of hype for 121 will be a good thing I believe.

Agreed. Lower expectations may be a blessing.
