Guard it is

I can see Smith starting out at guard and J. Jones moving to center. Jones then stays at center for 2018 and Mays comes in and takes a tackle spot. Barring injuries, 2018 offensive line is going to be nasty. This years will be good, but 2018 should be dominant. Kelly, Chandler and company will pile up the yards. Hopefully, Mays can get Teague in the fold.

That's why I still think we can win. Butch has stockpiled talent at OL. Next year there will be three 5 ⭐️ players in the OL room not to mention other 4 stars and 3 ⭐️ players who hAve outplayed their ranking like Boulware. Need to develop them. The DL isn't progressing as well however. Butch needs a big time DL haul in 2018, thankfully there is top in state talent on the DL if he can keep them home

How many of you negas wanted Tom Herman as our coach. Come on. Puts those hands up in the air. Go ahead. Now, let's see you wave 'em like you just don't care.

Silly negas.

I see no reason to think that because of an average first class and dumb comment rationalizing it, that he wouldn't succeed at either UT.

That said, I didn't really get the hype, and wasn't clamoring to get in on him.

Just saw that Brandon Johnson will be limited at spring ball with a shoulder surgery. That makes Vickers, Kyle Philips and Abernathy all limited with shoulder issues.... Any thoughts on why that is happening? Saw it here:

I recall that Rock was working shoulders in a UT video that they put out. I edited to note that they were limited and not out. My bad.

yea had the surgery after the bowl game, he dislocated shoulder in fall camp but still played with the injury..he will be fine...

Make no mistake. 3 star player's parents LOVE these type of quotes. Butch will most certainly get the best of the best 3 stars. Utah, Boise St, and BYU also have 8-9 win seasons.

It's almost like 4/5* players would like knowing that a potential head coach is interested in them as a person as well as a player.

Then again, if that was true a lot of recruits would talk about how there is a great "family atmosphere" at UT.

Oh... wait.

Great news! Not saying this because you're related but I am expecting good things from Brandon, saw some flashes in his limited time on the field. Looked real quick!

Good grief...I'm not sure I've ever seen Hyams get as much mileage out of 1 conversation. He talked with the Bradley's during the bowl prep and I seriously think I've heard him mention it 18 times.

I hope the kid starts and is a monster but damn.

(Not directed at you at all)
Lol no offense taken. Today was the first time I had heard Hyams in a while so I didn't know he had been talking about that.

Spring breakout player? Attention will be on the QB battle, but for me it will/has to be Darrell Taylor. Need that elite talent on the edge.

I hope he and Kyle Phillips have breakout seasons. Also need a CB to breakout. Maybe this will be Osborne's year

When does spring practice start?

I'm gonna say Bituli gets talked about a lot this spring.

Position group is gonna be DBs.

If KP can stay healthy is still have high hopes for him at DE. Taylor's athleticism is needed there too. If he is really up to 252 lbs like the report the other day said, look out.

I hope Taylor takes advantage of the opportunity. Another guy I hope makes the best of the open competition and this opportunity is Kyle Phillips. He's been pretty banged up in his UT career which kind of buried him on the depth chart at DE. I hope he really breaks out this year, always loved his potential.

Also, will McKenzie be back for the spring or will he not be back until fall? I can't remember.

EDIT - Bassmaster beat me to it. :)
