Hard to knock one down when you know if you miss it you go right back out . Some players can go 0/12 in the first half and not get pulled .

Yes, she DID!

Seriously, anyone who knocks Diamond game needs to go back and watch the replay. I think Draya said it best, scorers sometimes get discourage when they are not getting their points but DD found other ways to make a difference (and then game the highlight reel shots!)

I believe the poster's intent was to say that it's great to be able to have fun watching the games & being proud of the effort & execution rather than being frustrated with the opposite results...which was becoming a regular habit.

While it's great to see our team knock off Top Ten teams, the lack of consistency & watching us lose to teams with lesser talents was making a lot of fans go prematurely bald.

Seeing them go on the road & knock off SC with a great, gutty effort was beautiful. Watching DD, Jaime, & Mercedes shine with a great supporting cast sharing the ball, looking well-coached, and actually having fun for a change is like sunshine coming out after a long, rainy spell. And they actually look like a team instead of a group of talented individuals...now they're on the same page. And Coach W. seems to have figured out how to use her coaching tools effectively.

Could be wrong, but I think that's what the poster was saying. Not that people ever stopped being a fan, but (as my old TN HOF coach used to say, "Winning is more fun than not winning").

This is a time to enjoy. Let's not snipe at every remark, especially when it's meant as a positive.

I think this is going to be looked at more closely moving forward...There is a definite pattern to when and how this happens for DD. It isn't something she can prevent, this has to be seen from the bench.

I have completed my self imposed exile due to my doubting that the LV's could win vs USc.

I see this place is still standing.

Watched the game last night. Saw a guy standing up wearing a orange fedora yelling at the refs missing a call. :)

Thank goodness DD finally got mad at herself playing so poorly on O and putting it into overdrive for a couple baskets. She got the team back on track.

good to be back.

sMALLVOL HAD A SIGN MADE AND WORE A LIGHTUP-WHITE-COWGIRL HAT.,,, we tried to get Mil a wish-you-well done.

The guy on the fedora, was my brother. ;o)

Dd hits a wall every now and then. At present she is asked to play through it. Hopefully the staff will understand moving forward that there is a definitive sign for when DD is going to hit that wall and maybe they will start taking her out for a moment when it happens.

ftr, Mil is doing a lot better. regaining strength and for the most part she is back to "normal" lol

We are in the midst of the annual pine pollen blast here and that is giving her a lot of trouble breathing... I'm keeping her well fed with lots of fruit and liquids. Hoping she
continues with us for another 88 years!

Yes wonder how we suddenly became smart. First few games of the season was some of the dumbest basketball ever played. Now the team seems to avoid the stupid turnovers for the most part and seems willing to pass the ball to the open player. The aggressive style of Diamond and Jaime is something not seen since they have been at Tennessee. Suddenly they are determined and are playing with a lot of desire to win.

vf,,,at what game (specifically) do you consider things turned around and started to become the team it has become?

The LVs lacked leadership. Jaime has stepped into that role and it seems to have helped the team find their footing. DD is playing well, but she doesn't have to carry the team. That seems to have taken some of the pressure off her. The team seems to be having more fun-- and they're a lot more fun to watch. Winning is good medicine.

I think game nine versus Texas was when we finally started looking like a team. We lost that game but it could have went either way. Since that game we are 11 and 3. Gave dismal performance at Ole Miss was totally caught b surprise by the Auburn press but overall in the last 14 the effort has been a lot better and has picked up even more after the SC upset. The first eight games were horrendous and lucky for us we played four real stiffs in those game or we wouldn't have come out 4 and 4.
There was a new commitment in the Texas game and has resulted in three wins over top ten teams.

If, I have influenced this run at all,,, my present method for "potential influence" began with the UNCW game and has continued through this present game.

Of note,

what I am trying to do, as far as I can tell has never been done... "to be considered for a college coaching spot, in an elite program, with no prior collegiate experience".

This is why things are so unusual for my attempt... There is no guideline for doing this. I am sure I have done many things in this attempt incorrectly,,, but what I am certain of is that I can contribute on this level.

Just curious - did you speak/work with the team in the presence of the coaching staff?

Please don't take offence to my questioning. The team is playing much better and you're commenting on it as if you had something to do with it.

Nothing I have done, has been in the presence of any coach from the university.

Amazing improvement is certainly noted by me. Anyone that can't see the difference between now and the first eight games of the season isn't paying attention.
