Smart actually lost to him in gut wrenching fashion bc his coaching was horrendous at the end of the game and his kids had no discipline so...0-1 vs the Elmo doll I guess

Nice name calling... Guess that is your best retort which is about what is expected

FYI Brice was on 104.5 this afternoon and was specifically asked about this quote. Said this type of message is well received by recruit's parents, especially the mothers. Also mentioned Dan Quinn, Falcons HC, uses slogans and coach speak that is very similar. :hi:

Make no mistake. 3 star player's parents LOVE these type of quotes. Butch will most certainly get the best of the best 3 stars. Utah, Boise St, and BYU also have 8-9 win seasons.

I don't like much of what comes out of Butch's mouth, but I kind of liked this -

Just like last year, starting to peak at the right time. Hopefully, we will get a better draw in the playoffs. I'm not ruling out catching Chicago to give us home ice.

As things stand now, would play the Hawks in the 1st round as the Blues are dead man walking. Need to catch the hawks to have home ice. Can't stand the hawks "fans"

We'd take chicago out in the first round. They're not built for the playoffs like years past. Toews having a bad year too.

Preds need more center depth though..especially with Ribeiro asking for a trade. Would kill for Duchene in Nashville.

Due to us moving around the US during next summer (3 months every two year), it looks like I'm going to have to go the Planet Fitness route, or pay billions of dollars in sign up fees and memberships otherwise.

Over under for how many "lunk alarms" they hit me with. My gains are crying already, just thinking of have to lock in on the smith machine, light dumbbells and machines.

So they negative recruit using a dying media which almost everyone under 25 ignores or they somehow negative recruit a innocuous comment about looking for heart in players?

I guess they could, but I would imagine any coach with a brain would use something of actual value like all of the hotseat talk, Hurd and others walking away, etc.

Its a tempest in a teapot.

Not as many as you'd think as long as you don't go full Jersey maxout meathead, unless you get a crap manager.

I think I've heard it go off three times in a year, twice for one guy who was convinced it was sound activated and was being an idiot trying to set it off.

That is, but the Avs are asking for a ransom for Duchene and I just don't see us having the assets to (wisely) go after him. I suppose if we go with the 7 F/3 D protection option in the expansion draft we could trade Ellis, but I think we will try to protect the top two D pairings. Plus, we are a lot closer to the cap then we have been in the past.

Poile can work magic though, so we will see.
