Butch could run over the Pope and in 5 minutes people on here would be making excuses and rationalizing it.... The guy is a elmo doll and he's run out of soundbites, coach speak, and cliches .... 5 star hearts... really? Rationalize it all you want, its totally embarrassing... again.... I was in the Delta Crown Room today in ATL and folks were walking around laughing about it... We are a joke. Smart and Donkey owned him again. Just hope the kids overachieve this season and we can hang on and maybe start to trend up... Our QB situation, secondary trying to get better, and team health will make or break us this year. Warren will definitely earn his paycheck this year...

They are all immature children. Players and other people don't care about this at all. The media tearing in to us is fine, won't hurt anything. And I'm sure no coach will ever use it against as ammo to highly impressionable recruits.

Hahaha.

I was flipping through the Longhorn Network, and they are doing a signing day recap. On the bottom line, they quote Tom Herman from his thoughts on it: "What the rankings don't do though is they don't crack their chest open and look at their heart, they don't look at their work ethic, they don't look at what their coaches say about them, there are a lot if 3 and 4 star guys that are underrated."

Not kidding.

Lucky for him he's still in the honeymoon phase. Make no mistake, Texas fans would have just as much commentary as UT fans if he fails to meet expectations- and much quicker.

Nobody will talk about that tho, that's the difference. The media jumps on everything Butch says. The Herman quote will be ignored

The point is that his message is the very same thing. Like I said before, it's what all coaches think but don't all say it. What is said is all very true, but fans just don't care to hear it.
