Wes Rucker Tweet

The context was numbers, not academics. CBJ said we had to turn away talented recruits because of our numbers.

Im sure Wes also tweeted that he lost 100 lbs of fat and gained 60 lbs of muscle on a fitness program he's paid to push. Not much different than our program...if you didn't allow it to happen in the first place you wouldn't have to fix it. But but but we are born winners in Tennessee we pee excellence

So....was this an attempt to devalue the the reporter of a direct qoute? Im confused.

"Butch: This year we had to turn away more talented guys than we’ve ever had to turn away."

Is he living in a parallel universe?

I think a lot of people are....somebody posted this comment earlier

"we've got some good players coming in...don't be fooled by the stars, or lack thereof..."

My first thought was , yea schools like Bama , Ga , Ohio St and Michigan and Clemson are not being fooled and that's why these schools are where they are and Tn is where they are. Recruiting matters no matter how people try to spin it. Butch looked miserable today. He knew he was handing nothing out but bad news. except for maybe 6-8 players.

I heard it was a class full of Life Champions.

Tom Fornelli at CBS said Tennessee did well:

"They did great. Everybody [Tennessee] signed was exactly who your coaches wanted, and they can't wait to get to work to make sure [Tennessee] wins a conference title and plays for a national championship. More importantly, [they] did things the right way, and every single kid you signed is not just a great football player, but an excellent student and an amazing person."

So there's that...

I read it as, "we have so much competition and depth already at certain positions, we had to turn some guys away bc we couldn't promise them playing time."

The one who got turned away was Butch, all these 4 & 5*
turned him away and that is why we ended up with 50 3*.

He also said this .....

Butch: “I think overall this is the most positive year we’ve had in recruiting."

It's called deflection.. It's how you convince gullible people a turd smells like a rose..

Georgia? The team we've beaten the past 2 years?

IDK what Wes tweeted. I listened to the live presser. CBJ said we turned talented players away due to numbers.

Re: stars, he said the staff used their instincts to target and evaluate players and focused on building depth on the O line and D line.
