We just need to WIN the games we are supposed to win--and the recruits would believe in CBJ.....

5-2 and and in the driver's seat in the East BUT limping home 3-2 with losses to SCe (after having 2 weeks to get ready) and Vandy SCREAMS mediocrity at best.....

An 11-3 season after losing the SEC Championship and winning a New Year's day bowl buys CBJ and crew some cred and brings home some of those elite recruits who ended up looking elsewhere. But stupid is as stupid does....

Call me a nega....ahole....whatever you want and need to do to make yourselves feel better....BUT the recruits and their HS coaches KNOW BETTER...

CBJ absolutely HAS to go undefeated in the East in 2017 to get this fixed....if he doesn't--he needs to GO....you just can't sell elite recruits to the HILL when you can't get to Atlanta after being at a program for 5 years!

Fla gets there with 'ol horse-teeth in his first 2 years without a QB who is worth a d&)(&%!

You just can't keep making excuses for CBJ.....

Sounds like we wanted Conliffe but not bad enough to wait. Ray was the elite guy we would make room for. Makes me wonder how high up their board Conliffe was. My guess is not as high as his ranking would suggest.

I'm ok with DL recruiting for this cycle. 3 legit DT prospects. Wish we landed an elite prospect at either position.

Even an idiot can laugh at facts staring him right in the face.....but no one on here was laughing when he took a very bad Fla team down to Baton Rouge and won the SEC East....when CBJ couldn't take his team to Nashville and beat Vandy to get to the Sugar Bowl.....:crazy:

Recruiting is brutal. I think we got a decent class, but it's a 9-4 class, which is exactly where we are as a program. One slip-up or mediocre season without a ring and past success and you're almost toast on the recruiting trail.

So basically you have to have top 10 classes to be champions. Makes sense to me.

It's all on the coaching staff to develop well now. There are 2 or 3 "could start for anybody" types in this class. None of them could start for a top SEC program as a freshman other than maybe Trey. Doesn't mean they cannot be coached up and be high quality at some point down the line.

Rick Barnes shows how that is done in basketball. Maybe Butch can get it done the same way. If not, 8-4 U.
