This is his second full signing class as a coach and he is located in a recruiting hot bed. UF is always gonna fill up with 3* and 4* without even trying. He can throw a rock and hit a 4* kid from his window.

He's not a good recruiter. They should be killing it but they aren't. Even after winning the east twice in a row.

Pathetic finish to a below average class.

A new criteria is set for butch surviving next year. If he only wins 8 games and isn't committing more top 300 guys he's out

Not what we were hoping for, that's for sure. It's a solid class, adding someone like Ray would've made it a very good class. Unlike a lot of people, I thought last years class was very good, but Butch has to pick it up in 2018. Adding Hoke and Warren will help I believe. But Vols need the QB to be good so we can win. Top recruits want to go to a school that wins, Butch has to win in 2017. Unless of course you're Bama, then you just give everybody a car and they will come and then you will win.

Man, I've tried to stay positive, but can't help but feeling like today was a gut punch. Someone said it earlier, but it really does stir up the same sentiments as the SC and Vandy losses.

I'm with GFW, though...best thing we can do is put it behind us and hope (the only thing we really have left at this point) 2018 is better. Hopefully, unlike today's class, we hang on to the ones that are already committed.

The University of Florida is located in Florida. Dooley would have a top ten class there. Same with UGA, they are in states with obscene amounts of talent.

The reality is that there is a ton of negativity surrounding this program, and very little excitement. This recruiting class is a result of underachieving on the field, an athletic department in (mismanaged) transition, and a coaching staff squarely on the hot seat.

Considering those factors, which are all self-inflicted, a top 20 recruiting class is actually pretty decent. However, that does not excuse the fact that this year's class is completely unacceptable on the whole.
