Seth Stokes leaving the Swain Event

I'm not a fan of Seth but he seems like a hardworking guy but does have an imaginary chip on his shoulder. I'm guessing he's leaving for some more money, the radio gig isn't a money maker.

Loves the Vols, Very nice guy and he posts here.
Please remember that if you say something in this thread.
Seth, best of luck to you in your new responsibilities.

Isn't he the same clown who ambushed Butch a press conference about punching a player? Hell of a VFL is it's the same guy:thud:

Almost certain he's not a graduate of UT. He told his story that he was an exterminator in Atlanta and wanted to start a new career. So he came to Knoxville to make a new life. He became a VOL fan because he moved here, not from a history. Good luck to him and all but the whole fake it til you make it thing with being a radio host never really worked out for him.

Well if that's the case then there's a whole lot of people misusing that term. Honestly I thought anyone who was a player, graduate, fan of the program considered themselves "VFL". I see the VFL stickers on cars everywhere.

I think you have to at least attend the university and preferably graduate. Otherwise the term VFL would be too close to the definition of a Bama fan.

No he grew up a vol fan. His dad is a vol fan. he got his start calling football games for a high school in Georgia.

Similar to me. I grew up in North Georgia. My father was from Tennessee and a huge Vols fan along with pretty much everyone on his side of the family, which is where I got my fandom from. Of course I now live in the great state of Tennessee and never plan on moving out of it.

I actually like that they have their own shows. It gives me more to listen to throughout the day.

I miss Chris Treece. I LOVED his show on the old station.

I disagree. I would turn channel for Chris Treece show most of time. I thought he was kinda boring. The only time I laughed on his show was when a caller called in and told him "you wouldn't understand the situation unless you were black so you shouldn't be talking about it" and one of his former teammates at UT was on air with him and said "Chris! You're still black right?" The caller immediately hung up lol

I don't particularly care for him either but hope the guy is still employed somewhere, if not still at the station. I just don't think he was cutout for being a co-host.

Agree on "for what". It's beyond played. I think you're right about segments too....one or two planned ones are okay, otherwise just discuss Vol football, take a few calls and talk to Callahan and Bartoo weekly imo. And for crying out loud, limit Turkey Man calls to 1-2 a week....ugh

Haha. No more turkey man please. It's so brutal!

Maybe rename it with new theme music but I like the wacky stories. Especially sports related ones. Preach on the Turkey Man limit. It's cringeworthy each morning listening to him turkey call and try to grasp for "questions" to ask Swain.
