Go ahead expand my mind on how the job he took is entry level and comparable to that of quality control or grad assistant at UT.

P.S. - I am fully aware he isn't the WR coach.

It's a better job for him in that he gets on the field and can coach even though he will be on the bottom of the pecking order. Much better expericed than QC coach that can't coach.

Wait, you mean the recruiting forum gets increased traffic right before signing day??? Next you'll tell me the basketball forum has more action during basketball season!! You geniuses are amazing.

Not positive, but I think so. Byrd was kind of a surprise, too. Although, he was living with CFA. I think Scott pulled both of them, more or less, out of a hat, on NSD or the day, b4.

Hopefully, LaBryan "The Lion" Ray, if u consider that a surprise. Wouldn't Higgins changing his mind and coming to UT, be the ultimate surprise ?

That, and not sure why anyone would ever make a top (whatever number) prospect list. How the hell can you compare players from different positions relative to the impact they make on the field. The only thing that matters in a draft is team needs.

There was smoke surrounding Williams pretty much from the time we hired Scott, but it really heated up in the last week before signing day.

He took a visit to Knoxville the last weekend of recruiting before signing day.
